 The IT and Admin Specialist plays a dual role in ensuring the effective functioning of both the IT infrastructure and administrative facilities. This position is responsible for maintaining a reliable and secure IT environment and ensuring efficient office administration and facilities management. The role requires hands-on technical support, coordination with multiple departments, and proactive problem-solving to support staff, clients, and internal operations.

 Tasks and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
 
 
 
 IT Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Administer and maintain local servers, including Active Directory, file/print services, user accounts, mailboxes, and data backup/recovery systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage and support network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, ports, patch panels, ADSL lines, and VPN connectivity)
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee endpoint management including installation, configuration, patching, antivirus, and troubleshooting of desktop hardware and software
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor and support security systems such as surveillance, alarms, fire detection, and ensure access to recordings when required

 Support conferencing platforms, remote communication tools, and online exam setups, including technical troubleshooting

 Provide technical support and training to users for office equipment, communication tools, and productivity applications

 Coordinate with internet/telecom providers and vendors for service delivery, issue resolution, and on-site deployments

 Monitor systems and logs, diagnose performance issues, and ensure adherence to compliance standards

 Manage IT procurement, inventory, asset tracking, and lifecycle upgrades in accordance with organizational policies

 Document IT systems, technical procedures, and ensure knowledge sharing within the team

 Collaborate with Egypt and Regional IT teams on planning, budgeting, support, and technology initiatives

 Follow up with maintenance people on general building maintenance issues

 Follow up on maintenance tickets received by the Operations department. Those tickets vary from air conditions, electricity, door lock issues to following up with the landlord representative on building insulation issues

 Incumbent will be expected to call the maintenance people and ensure they are following the proper methods to solve the issue
 </li>

 Control Amideast mobile phones and USB distribution through a tracking sheet with all the employees' mobile/USB package rates

 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in information technology or a related field

 2-3 years of relevant IT experience, including at least 2 years in a similar dual-role (infrastructure and user support)

Assist maintenance and support personnel supporting the Follow On Technical Support (FOTS) contract under NAVSEA PMS 326.</li>

 Support craft and ships sold to foreign Navies with fleet support of ships undergoing diesel engine repairs, overhauls, and modernization conversions.</li>

Perform ready-to-start and post-repair inspections and review of operational testing procedures.</li>
<li>
Conduct assessments such as ship visits to assess the material condition of shipboard systems.</li>

Access, analyze, and provide recommended resolutions on diesel engines based on US Navy diesel inspector program.</li>
<li>
Perform diesel engine inspections and Formal Periodic Assessments (FPAs) in accordance with the JFMM Revision B (volume four (4), chapter four (4)), OPNAV Instruction 9220.3, and the U.S. Navy Diesel Engine Inspector Handbook S9233- CJ-HBK-010.</li>
<li>
Blue print an engine, test engines and components, and take critical measurements to assess and eventually plan an overhaul or replacement.</li>
<li>
Supervise complex repairs to different diesel engines such as MTU, Caterpillar, Fairbanks Morse, Isotta Fraschini, Paxman, etc.</li>
<li>
Train crew and maintenance personnel in diesel maintenance and operations (focusing on foreign crews).</li>
</ul>
Minimum Requirements<ul>
<li>
6 years of technical experience with maintenance of Navy shipboard diesel engines, propulsion, and auxiliary systems.</li>
<li>
Knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.</li>
<li>
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.</li>
<li>
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Must be proficient in English.</li>
<li>
Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS. Must be willing to travel to the Middle East (Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Bahrain), and also to Indo/Pacific Countries (Philippines, Taiwan, etc.).</li>

Ability to obtain a country clearance and base pass authorization.</li>
