NATURE AND SCOPE
MECD Plant is Air Products first Majority owned and operated Plant in Bahrain, representing a decent investment. MECD consists of an LCO2 unit with a maximum capacity of 200 MTD.
BAPCO, The Bahrain Petroleum Company, is an integrated national oil company of Bahrain that feeds the raw gas to MECD, purifies then liquefies the feed gas into Liquid CO2 of food grade. The MECD plant is located adjacent to the BAPCO's site. The products from MECD go directly to Storage tanks and are then trucked into tankers to the customers in the region. The products are critical to the regional market.
The plants run continuously, with a strong emphasis on high reliability and efficiency.
The role will involve working closely with Air Products&rsquo; regional communities.
The Site Sr. Operations supervisor supports the facility manager in finding the best practices for complex operations and product quality issues that meet Air Products procedures and standards.
DIMENSIONS:
MECD plant is an M17$ asset with an annual maintenance budget of approx 250,000 U$.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
This position is accountable for the following results:<ul><li>
Understand all relevant EH&amp;SQ and quality regulations applicable to the facility and support the facility manager in conducting the electrical maintenance plan.
</li><li>Report, and where possible, eliminate all potential hazards by using the Air Products Basic Safety Practice (BSP) system.
</li><li>Regularly participate in site and operations safety meetings to ensure all safety-related issues are identified, discussed, understood, and successfully resolved.
</li><li>Handle any related electrical maintenance work at the site.
</li><li>Complete all the electrical SAP PM tasks.
</li><li>Carry out the shift purity and im-purity results analysis.
</li><li>Fill in the log sheets and the daily report. Verify availability and reliability calculations and reporting and prepare industrial report figures.
</li><li>Performs first-line checks in the Plant and is engaged in maintenance-related issues as per the maintenance tools task under the guidance of the Plant ManagerIssue and controls all safety work permits to the standard required .
</li><li>Fill the bulk LCO2 tankers while carrying out the checks for the product quality parameters. Ensures that the tanker filling process is strictly controlled and that the prefill &amp; post-fill test records are maintained.
</li><li>Add the water treatment chemicals and maintain water quality by checking TDS &amp; PH.
</li><li>Monitor the Carboscan parameters and performance.
</li><li>Issue the Delivery Note &amp; Weighing slips &amp; COA &amp; COC and maintain the dispatch documents. (To revise only before dispatching)
</li><li>Maintain plant housekeeping, Hygiene cleaning (Food Safety). Weekly verification of plant housekeeping. (distributing jobs to the team if required).
</li><li>Maintain company rules for discipline, punctuality, absenteeism, etc.,
</li><li>At all times, wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
</li><li>Make entries into the plant logbook to include all operational data, messages, unusual events, work done &amp; spares used.
</li><li>To carry out routine and specific work tasks as directed by the facility manager, identify required work, and allocate Personnel or contractor to ensure its completion.
</li><li>To start, stop and isolate equipment and unit processes as required.
</li><li>During Plant shutdowns, maintain overall control of the safety and operation of the Plant. conduct all the scheduled electrical maintenance work.
</li><li>Handle all the operation routine activities after the proper training and under the plant manager supervision till be competent for doing the operation tasks independently.</li></ul>
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>
Electrical technical diploma/engineering certificate.</li><li>
Good experience and knowledge in electrical system maintenance.</li><li>
Excellent Communication &amp; coordination skills.</li><li>
Good oral English and good written English.</li><li>
Minimum three years experience in electrical maintenance.</li></ul>

 BASIC PURPOSE
 
 
 
 The Kitchen &amp; Laundry Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of all kitchen and laundry equipment throughout the hotel.
 
 
 
 Essential Functions
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Responsible for the repair, maintenance, and preventive upkeep of all kitchen and laundry equipment, including mechanical, electrical, lighting, plumbing, and associated pipework.
 </li>
 <li>
 Take ownership of the kitchen and laundry equipment maintenance program, ensuring full compliance with schedules and quality standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Inspect and maintain gas lines, detection panels, suppression systems, and gas valves in kitchen areas.
 </li>
 <li>
 Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions; repair or replace damaged equipment; and calibrate thermostatic controls and other critical components.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct preventive maintenance in guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities, ensuring accurate documentation of tasks performed, time spent, and materials used.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform plumbing repairs and stoppage clearing, as well as grease trap, drain, and filter cleaning as needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Report defects in kitchen and laundry equipment immediately to the Shift Supervisor, Engineer, or Maintenance Manager.
 </li>
 <li>
 Request and follow up on urgent spare parts and materials as needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with electrical repair and maintenance, including motors, starters, breakers, socket repairs, wiring installations for renovations and outlet additions, and temporary electrical setups for exhibitions and conventions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Respond promptly and professionally to guest complaints regarding room or public area maintenance.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assemble and install metal ductwork, desks, shelving, cabinets, and other assigned fixtures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist Shift Engineers during major repairs or system shutdowns.
 </li>
 <li>
 Take regular meter readings; record temperatures and pressures; update PM logs and charts accordingly.
 </li>
 <li>
 Inspect and maintain fire sprinkler systems to ensure operational readiness.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review Engineering order logs and prioritize tasks, especially urgent items.
 </li>
 <li>
 Respond efficiently to emergencies such as fires, power failures, and equipment malfunctions.
