The position is in the areas of robotics and autonomous systems, with preference given to candidates with expertise in emerging technologies with novel theoretical developments and practical applications, such as industrial robotics; control, autonomous systems; intelligent robotics for exploration, manufacturing, and construction; advanced sensor and actuation technologies; mechatronics and human-machine interaction and applications of artificial intelligence to robotics and autonomous systems. Faculty at Texas A&amp;M University Qatar Campus (TAMUQ) are of two types: instructional track and research track. This position is a research-track position at the assistant level. The official title for this position is Research Assistant Professor, with the working title of Engineering Assistant Professor. Research-track faculty at TAMUQ are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and develop an independent research program, as well as to engage through scholarship within the university and their discipline.
