SGA provides a wide range of social services in some of Chicago's most challenged and consistently underserved communities and creates long-term and community-wide change. The ICIRR Immigrant Family Resource Program goal is to ensure low-income immigrant families and other limited-English speaking persons can thrive by reducing barriers when seeking public benefits (nutritional, medical, housing, psychological, childcare, employment), as well as the cash support they need for proper health, well-being, and economic self-sufficiency.</p><ul><li>Collect resources on recreational activities, housing, food, clothing, school programs, vocational opportunities or services, providers to teach life skills, and relevant mental health services</li><li>Initiate, establish, and nurture a close working relationship with other community-based organizations, agencies, schools, and healthcare facilities to promote the income supports services offered under the Immigrant Families Resources Program (IFRP).</li><li>Assists client to develop natural resources and contact social support networks.</li><li>Conduct community education about public benefits available to immigrants in IL.</li><li>Work in collaboration with fellow team members to secure support in attending the various outreach events.</li><li>Prepare the marketing materials needed to be delivered at each event, ensuring that program flyers and marketing giveaways are available at all times.</li><li>Collect the outreach sign-in logs at the conclusion of each event and deliver them to the Program Director for review and proper tracking of efforts in the system.</li><li>Maintain an updated Outreach Activities binder to have it ready for programmatic audit reviews.</li><li>Conduct weekly follow-up calls to the individuals outreached in the recruitment to schedule appointments for services eligibility screening and provision of documentation requirements needed to apply for the different public benefits available and other social services available in the State of Illinois and the Chicagoland area.</li><li>Ensure the follow-up with potential program applicants occurs within the following week the outreach event took place.</li><li>Track the outcomes generated by each outreach event to gage the recruitment success.</li><li>Organize internal and external workshops to educate the community on the importance to access income supports services, such as Medicare, Medicaid, All Kids, SNAP, and case assistance benefits through the Illinois Department of Human Service (IDHS) to eradicate the myth of &ldquo;becoming a public charge&rdquo; when an eligible person access these services.</li><li>Offer a flexible schedule to participate in community events for recruitment and promotional purposes after normal business hours, and some weekends (Saturday and/or Sundays), throughout the year.</li></ul><p>

Position Objective and Summary:</b></p>
<p>
The outreach worker works with youth, aged 12-24, who face challenges and difficulties. The Coach identifies youth through community outreach and referrals from schools, juvenile justice, and community-based organizations in the North Lawndale community. Utilizing UCAN&rsquo;s Clinical Philosophy, The Coach facilitates healing through trauma informed services and Positive Youth Development and provides support and encouragement to participants for positive behavior, goal achievement, involvement in school and services, and leadership opportunities.</p><br>

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:</b></p>
<p><b>
Mentoring and Supporting Participants</b></p>
<ul><li>
Demonstrates supportive behavior and role models positive appropriate interactions.</li><li>
Reaches out to resistant youth and successfully engages them in services.</li><li>
Maintain contact with each participant on a weekly basis, at minimum.</li><li>
Engages and works with youth to understand the importance of school performance and recommended services and supports youth to begin and continue with interventions.</li><li>
Coordinates activities for program participants.</li><li>
Possesses a basic understanding of the effects of trauma and operate from that perspective when interacting with youth and families.</li><li>
Acts as a mandated reporter.</li><li>
Works with participants on violence prevention skills (i.e., anger management, conflict resolution, and other life skills).</li><li>
Using a strengths-based approach, engages participants in strategies to improve participation in needed services.</li><li>
Assists participants with setting and completing individual goals.</li><li>
Assists participants with becoming involved in positive out-of-school time activities such as tutoring, counseling, employment, and recreation.</li><li>
Works with UCAN Career Services, to assist participants in preparing for and locating jobs; coaches&rsquo; participants in positive and productive workplace behavior.</li><li>
Documents of service delivery to youth and client outcomes as outlined in program requirements.</li></ul><br>

Community Relations</b></p>

Establish and maintain relationships with local service providers and faith institutions to enhance community relations and to strengthen referral sources for participants.</li><li>
Attend community meetings (i.e., elected officials&rsquo; meetings, beat meetings, community discussions) and serve as a representative of UCAN.</li></ul><br>

Pitch and Proposal Specialist</b></p><p>
Under the direction of the Senior Pitch and Proposal Manager and in close coordination with the Director of Client Intelligence, the Pitch and Proposal Specialist (Specialist) supports the firm&rsquo;s business development and growth initiatives by contributing to the development of timely, high-quality and competitive pitches and proposals. This role works closely with attorneys and members of the Business Development and Practice Support teams to develop customized client-facing materials, including pitch books and presentations, responses to requests for proposals (RFPs), highly targeted pitch documents, and representative matter lists.</p><p>
The Specialist also supports experience management and client intelligence efforts by maintaining accurate matter data, drafting compelling experience descriptions, and assisting in the preparation of research and reporting related to prospective and existing clients. The position requires strong writing and organizational skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict confidentiality.</p><p>
