 At our pharmacy, you will join a highly collaborative team of exceptional pharmacists who take pride in clinical quality, operational excellence, and doing what is right for patients. This role is intentionally focused on clinical work from home with a requirement to be licensed in Kentucky, preference given to dual licensure in Kentucky and California
 
 .
 
 
 
 Your time will be spent working from home providing pharmacist review and patient support between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM EST. In this capacity, you will review prescriptions and patient medical history for appropriateness, help identify and resolve clinical or administrative issues, and provide counseling to patients and caregivers with professionalism and empathy and serve as the PIC (pharmacist-in-charge) for the state of California.
 
 
 
 Primary Duties And Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Responsible for the dispensing and verification of outpatient specialty pharmacy medications in a closed‑door, mail‑order pharmacy environment, in accordance with professional standards, facility procedures, and state and federal legal requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Consults with patients regarding medications or supplies prescribed, including dosage, frequency, specialized requirements and possible drug interactions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Works closely with patient in order to answer all questions and/or concerns regarding their prescriptions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Reviews and evaluates patient's plan of care for obvious conflicts.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and record keeping.
 </li>
 <li>
 Makes recommendations to the manager regarding any changes to operating procedures in an effort to facilitate smooth customer service operations.
 </li>
 <li>
 This role does not dispense inpatient medications. No IV admixtures, unit dose medications, or inpatient pharmacy services are performed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Responds to customer inquiries, requests and issues when situations get escalated to a higher level of authority other than a customer service associate.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provides consulting on pharmaceutical matters to various levels of personnel regarding pharmacy operations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Supervises activities relative to customer files and contacts, ensuring that they are updated as needed to comply with current licensing.
 </li>
 <li>
 This role does not manage pharmacy technician scheduling, sick time, vacation time, personal time, or holiday time.
 </li>
 <li>
 This position does not manage associate relations functions, including hiring, termination, or performance management of pharmacy technicians.
 </li>
 <li>
 Performs related duties as assigned.

 Licensure Requirements

 Required: Kentucky RPh license in good standing

 Strongly Preferred: **California RPh license in good standing**

 Experience And Educational Requirements

 Unrestricted Kentucky state license as a Registered Pharmacist in the resident state is required.
 </li>
 <li>
 California pharmacist licensure is preferred.
 </li>
 <li>
 Requires 2&ndash;3 years of directly related and progressively responsible experience.
 </li>
 <li>
 Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy is required.
