 University of Doha invites applications for the position of Strategic Planning and Risk Management Specialist reporting to the Manager, Strategic Planning and Performance.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 Successful candidate will:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of UDST&rsquo;s Strategic and Operation Plans.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop, review and recommend overall risk management strategies including risk identification, analysis, response planning, monitoring and controlling to mitigate any potential adverse events that can impact UDST in any capacity.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and update the UDST&rsquo;s Risk Management Policy and procedure and Risk Management Framework to enable Business Units to manage their risks and support effective decision making and prioritization.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and manage the risk register, in coordination with the Business Units.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with Business Units to monitor and report on risks and controls and actively support the ongoing enhancement of risk identification and reporting processes across UDST.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct comprehensive risk analysis to quantify potential risks and develop strategic recommendations and controls for risk reduction.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with relevant Business Units on risk related matters to provide advice on the actions that need to be taken across UDST while documenting and ensuring communication of key risks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Create and facilitate communication channels concerning key risks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify and propose KPIs related to risks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and implement a risk assessment model, associated system and processes to monitor validity of risk modeling outputs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Gather risk-related data from external resources and internally to be used for risk management and strategic planning.
 </li>
 <li>
 Create, maintain and update database to generate reports, presentations for leadership that detail risk position in every aspect outlining findings, explaining risk positions and recommending changes.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct benchmarking studies on risk management and best practices.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support in the development of contingency plans to deal with emergencies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Aid to compile and communicate to Business Units the risk impact of regulations and ensure Risk Register is updated.

 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in relevant field is required
 </li>
 <li>
 Master&rsquo;s Degree is Preferable

 Desirable: Qualification/certification in project management (e.g. Project Management Professional &ldquo;PMP&rdquo;, Master Project Manager &ldquo;MPM&rdquo;), and/or risk management (PMI Risk Management Professional &ldquo;PMI-RMP&rdquo;, Certified Risk Manager &ldquo;CRM&rdquo;, Certified Risk Management Professional &ldquo;CRMP&rdquo;)
 
 
 
 Experience

 Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Strategic Planning and Risk Management; preferably in higher education institutions
