Minimum 3 years experience required.</p><p>This role is ideal for someone who understands California labor law and has worked in regulated environments such as home care, residential care, or behavioral health.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Maintain and organize digital employee personnel files</li><li>Ensure HR documentation aligns with California labor law</li><li>Support employee handbook updates and policy development</li><li>Provide guidance on employee relations matters</li><li>Advise on corrective actions and documentation best practices</li><li>Ensure alignment with CDSS and home care regulatory requirements</li><li>Review internal documentation for compliance gaps</li><li>Assist with improving HR systems and documentation workflows</li><li>Develop standardized templates (write-ups, corrective action forms, acknowledgments, etc.)</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>3+ years of HR experience</li><li>Direct experience in healthcare, home care, residential care, ARF, HCO, or behavioral health settings</li><li>Strong working knowledge of California labor law</li><li>Experience supporting employee relations and corrective action processes</li><li>Experience in regulated environments (CDSS experience preferred)</li><li>Strong documentation and organizational skills</li><li>Comfortable advising leadership directly</li><li>High level of discretion and professionalism</li></ul><p>Preferred:</p><ul><li>SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certification</li><li>Experience supporting small but growing organizations (10&ndash;50 employees)</li></ul><p>Structure &amp; Compensation:</p><ul><li>Remote</li><li>Approximately 5 hours per week</li><li>Flexible scheduling</li><li>1099 contractor</li><li>Hourly rate DOE (competitive for experience level)</li></ul><p>Job Type: Part-time</p><p>Pay: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour</p><p>Expected hours: No more than 5 per week</p><p>Work Location: Remote</p>
