Quantity Surveyor

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Quantity Surveyor to join our team! In this role, you will perform standard estimating and quantity surveying activities typical to the engineering and construction industry for large-scale infrastructure projects.
What You'll Be Doing:<ul><li>
Accurately measure and price works using contract drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities.</li><li>
Handle all post-contract quantity surveying functions, including interim and final payments, variations, commercial and contractual correspondence, cash flows, and claims.</li><li>
Provide advice on contractual matters and ensure completeness and validity of contractual requirements.</li><li>
Advise on contractor resource allocation and audit payments to contractors.</li><li>
Ensure prompt submittal and completeness of valuations and check and record measures of work done.</li><li>
Prepare variations and day-works and monitor contract final cost estimates.</li><li>
Maintain expenditure records and review, negotiate, and prepare claim settlements.</li><li>
Coordinate and monitor the activities of the quantity surveying team.</li><li>
Prepare financial statements for monthly reports and ensure accurate cost reporting.</li><li>

What Required Skills You'll Bring:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.</li><li>
10 years of experience in large infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage, sewerage, and utilities, with at least 5 years in a consultancy environment.</li><li>
Knowledge of pre- and post-contract administration.</li><li>
Good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff.</li><li>
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle complex commercial and contractual matters.</li><li>
Must be MME certified.</li></ul>
