With a reputation for delivering innovative and high-quality solutions for landmark projects, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team.

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, banking activities, and project-related financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the construction or contracting industry, with extensive knowledge of Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees, Contract Accounting, Project Cost Control, and Financial Management.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and company policies.
• Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and closing processes.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance of ongoing projects.
• Prepare management reports, budget analyses, and financial forecasts.

Contract & Project Accounting

• Review project contracts and ensure proper accounting treatment of revenues, costs, retention, and variations.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, profitability, and contract milestones.
• Coordinate with project managers and commercial teams to ensure accurate financial reporting of projects.
• Track project receivables, certifications, and payment schedules.

Letters of Credit (LC) & Trade Finance

• Handle the issuance, amendment, negotiation, and closure of Letters of Credit (Import & Export).
• Coordinate with banks, suppliers, and internal departments regarding LC documentation and compliance.
• Ensure timely submission and verification of shipping and trade documents.
• Monitor LC utilization, expiry dates, and banking requirements.

Bank Guarantees & Banking Operations

• Manage all types of Bank Guarantees, including Performance Guarantees, Advance Payment Guarantees, Bid Bonds, and Retention Guarantees.
• Coordinate with banks for issuance, amendments, renewals, cancellations, and release of guarantees.
• Maintain records of all guarantees and monitor validity periods.
• Support banking relationships and ensure compliance with banking requirements.

Accounts Receivable & Payable

• Oversee customer invoicing, collections, retention tracking, and receivable reconciliations.
• Review supplier payments, subcontractor accounts, and vendor reconciliations.
• Monitor payment schedules and ensure timely settlements.

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and statutory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and schedules.
• Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance practices.

Qualifications & RequirementsEducation

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.

Experience

• 8–10 years of accounting experience within the Construction, Contracting, Engineering, or Manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience handling Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees, and Contract Accounting.
• UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and project accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Strong understanding of trade finance documentation and banking procedures.

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
