Your Opportunity
The Senior HSQE Manager is responsible for providing Health, Safety, Quality, Environment (HSQE), and Assurance guidance and support to contracts and business units, including both high-risk and low-risk locations. They will support the Senior Management Team and operational teams in ensuring HSQE and Assurance compliance across all areas. They will act as the competent person in relation to Health and Safety, including fire and life safety, and will provide independent assessments of compliance through internal assurance reviews, external audits, and certification assessments.
The ideal candidate should have the ability to motivate and manage others. Self-motivated and able to work to deadlines. Has excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
This role is part of our management team and works very closely with our clients at the prestigious Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA).
Key Accountabilities
Responsible for all aspects of Safety Assurance which includes Health, Safety & Environment, Risk Management, Quality Management, and Business Resilience and Business Ethics.
Ensure compliance with the Serco Management System relative policy standards and advise management and operational employees on these requirements, systems and processes. Identify improvement opportunities and manage issues to an acceptable outcome.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS) develop, review and update processes and procedures and ensure evidence of compliance is maintained including records.
Contribute to the management system legal register, ensuring that country specific legislation and codes of practice are understood and complied with accordingly. Ensure evidence of compliance is maintained.
Contribute to the development of the Divisional Safety and Assurance objectives and action plans and ensure understanding and delivery of these across the Portfolio. Report on progress regularly to the Portfolio and Sector management team.
Ensure Safety Assurance performance data is captured, reported into Assure database in a timely manner and periodically presented to management, recommending areas for improvement.
Undertake compliance assurance reviews on the IMS to ensure compliance and document evidence of continual improvement supporting the ISO certifications for contracts where applicable.
Specific Requirements
Five years of recent experience in Facilities Management environment.
HSQE experience in commercial buildings or towers
Undertaken a Lead Auditor role.
Developed short internal training courses and a training matrix for HSQE.
Knowledge of MEP systems and maintenance operations.
Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow / Green / Black Belt preferred.
Solid understanding of ISO 9001, 14001 and ISO 45001. An ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 Auditor.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
NEBOSH, IOSH and/or OSHA trained/certified
Business Continuity Management (BIA/BCP)
