Senior Legal Counsel

Merzigo is currently seeking a dynamic lawyer to join our rapidly growing companies. As a vital member of the Legal Team, the lawyer will manage national and international disputes in all corporate legal areas, provide solutions consistent with the company's goals and objectives, and aid in reporting to management.

Position: Senior Legal Counsel

Location: Etiler, Istanbul

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on domestic and international legal disputes involving the holding’s subsidiary companies across all corporate legal fields.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, protocols, notices, and other legal documents while ensuring seamless coordination with internal departments and counterparties,
• Manage and track legal and official correspondence efficiently,
• Stay up to date with relevant legislation, case law, and regulatory changes, and provide reports accordingly,
• Deliver solution-oriented legal opinions, prepare briefing notes, and offer legal support to relevant departments
• Ensure internal company processes comply with applicable laws and regulations, conduct risk assessments for cases and contracts, and implement preventive legal measures.
• Maintain an organized and accessible legal archive.
• Provide consolidated legal reports to management as required.

Requirements

• Law degree from a recognized university.
• Up to 5 years of experience as a legal counsel, with expertise in Intellectual Property Law (FSEK), Law of Obligations, Enforcement Law, Commercial Law, and Labor Law.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Excellent command of Legal English, including written communication, negotiation, and contract analysis skills.
• No travel restrictions.
• For male candidates: Military service must be completed.
