Core Responsibilities:
- Lead research, conduct benchmark and plan analysis of target markets, relevant industries, corporate competitors, and potential customers to draw strategic insight.
- Direct the analysis to identify cross-cluster business opportunities and opportunities to attract clients and generate viable growth revenue streams
- Study commercial models and present the opportunities to the leadership team for approval.
- Support the development of Commercial strategies and translate cluster and account plans into tangible commercial plans.
- Review proposed alliances/joint venture opportunities where appropriate.
- Lead multi-disciplinary virtual team (Legal, Operations, Technical, Finance etc) to convert projects into actual business.
- Provide the necessary guidance on gate submissions for international (M&A) projects in order to progress from initiation to execution phase.
- Lead the process of price monitoring, market share development and commercial performance of competing and companies.
- Provide the necessary reports on strategic initiatives and progress against plans to the management.
People Management Responsibilities:
- Provide effective leadership, supervision, and guidance to the team.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and high performance.
- Manage the performance of direct reports, provide constructive feedback and recognize achievements.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination among team members, as well as with other departments and external partners.
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Assist clusters & Business units to identify strengths and gaps in knowledge and expertise and develop plans to address these issues.
- Assist clusters & Business units, and employees to develop successful business models to position new businesses for growth.
- Act as sparring partner for research teams to test hypotheses and data-driven insight, and develop logical an insightful storylines for senior company and government stakeholders.
- Works closely with Finance, Corporate, and strategic stakeholders across the five business strategies.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Commercial, Economics, Business Administration or a related field. Master's degree is a plus
PMP or equivalent (desirable)
