Duties

• Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and assist with food and beverage selections to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Square POS, or Foodhub, ensuring all special requests are noted
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards and food safety protocols
• Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while providing honest recommendations
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting seamless operations during busy hours
• Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, address concerns promptly, and enhance overall guest satisfaction
• Assist with food handling and basic food preparation when needed, ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed
• Help create espressos and all drink recipes that follow with it

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and sales tracking
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that energizes the team and guests alike
• Effective time management to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest trust and satisfaction
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Previous experience in serving, bussing, host/hostess roles or food industry roles is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure smooth restaurant operations
