Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive seating assistance as needed
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff and bartenders
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in accordance with sanitation standards
• Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems and manage cash handling responsibilities responsibly
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems
• Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols in a restaurant or food industry setting
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle guest inquiries professionally
• Experience in fine dining environments or nightclubs is a plus but not required
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume service times
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently using OpenTable or other reservation/ordering tools
• Basic math skills for cashiering, bill splitting, and accurate cash handling
• Familiarity with food preparation, food industry standards, and hospitality best practices
• Previous experience as a host/hostess or server in a restaurant setting is highly desirable
