DEPARTMENT: Spa & Store Department

REPORTS TO: CEO

A Spa & Store manager’s role is to ensure that their business is performing at or above standard. People

Management, Inventory Management, Financial Management, Customer Service, upselling skills, and

experience as well as in-depth knowledge of the industry are essential. The role requires a manager with a

passion for beauty services and product knowledge.

As a manager, you are required to manage and monitor the operations of the branch, to make sure that it

operates to a high level of quality and hygienic standard as per company guidelines.

Department Role:

The department should ensure the spa is a welcoming environment, including making sure all hygiene

procedures are followed, and all equipment is functional. The department should ensure that the business runs

smoothly and provides an optimal experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities:

 Spa & Store managers lead, monitor, and analyze the daily operations of the Spa & Store.

 Handling employee scheduling to ensure there are enough service providers to meet customer

demand considering peak times and seasonality.

 Plan, strategizes, and meet the Store and Spa sales target and profitability.

 Ensure all your team members are meeting their individual monthly targets.

 Build strong sales and customer service relationships with clients through inspiring and motivating

the team into action.

 Ensure consistent execution of Izil Spa and Store policies and procedures.

 Ensure merchandising and visual standards are organized, clean and presentable.

 Always maintain hygienic and clean work areas and ensure that the Store and Spa follow the

standard guidelines of Dubai Municipality.

 Ensure that you represent the Store and Spa to the highest level of professionalism and are always in

uniform attire.

 Maintain staff records, including Sales reports, working schedules, Attendance, Visa, ID for

Municipality check, Hygiene training etc.

 Ensure proper use and care of all products, equipment, and tools of the Spa & Store.

 Ensure a weekly or monthly inventory check along with other departments as per company SOP.

 Measure the productivity and evaluate all Spa & Store staff on a Quarterly basis using a performance

appraisal form.

 Arrange regular maintenance services for all Machines & equipment.

 Handles the reception, customer complaints and other customer related concerns.

 Proactively participate in any marketing / sales initiatives. These initiatives could include special

promotions and events.

 Contribute to the development and improvement of the Spa & Store.

 A commitment to ensuring the health and safety of the work environment through compliance with

the occupational health and safety practices of the company.

 All other duties as required by the spa & store manager from time to time within the ambit of a Spa

and Store manager role.

 Conduct daily, monthly, and weekly briefings with all staff members.

 Go through all treatment, Service, and Operational SOP and provide feedback.

 Identifies and recommends new products and product enhancements to remain competitive in the

market.

 Monitors and manages the payroll function.

 Manages areas of operation to budget by reviewing operating statements, budget worksheets, and

payroll progress reports.

 Manages Spa controllable expenses such as guest amenities, linen expenses, professional salon

products, plants, decorations, and paper supplies to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.

 Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifying excellent customer service and creating a

positive atmosphere for guest relations.

 Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service.

 Strives to improve service performance.

 Reviews comment cards, guest satisfaction results, and other data to identify areas of improvement.

 Reviews findings with employees to develop appropriate corrective action, sharing plans with

property leadership and ensuring corrective action is taken to continuously improve results.

 Interviews and hires employees with the appropriate skills to meet the business needs of the

operation.

 Report feedback on the monthly Rota, and ensure the staffing level are sufficient

 Develops, implements, and maintains a Spa orientation program for employees to receive the

appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job.

 Administers the performance appraisal process for direct report managers.

 Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees and ensuring employees

do the same within the team.

 Solicits employee feedback, utilizes an “open door” policy and reviewing employee satisfaction results

to identify and address employee problems or concerns.

 Ensures that regular on-going communication is happening in all areas of responsibility to create

awareness of business objectives and communicates expectations, recognizing performance, and

producing desired business results. Celebrates successes and publicly recognizes the contributions of

team members.
