Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager Consultant to optimize procurement strategies and enhance customer satisfaction for our client in the aerospace and defense sector. The ideal candidate will lead the Supply Chain Department, ensuring all activities align with the company's procurement policies and practices while driving performance improvements across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:

Lead, train, and develop a team of supply chain leads/managers to create end-to-end supply chain strategies.

Establish and maintain departmental KPIs and associated scorecards.

Ensure compliance with relevant industry and company governance.
-
Drive supply chain performance improvements across all aspects of operations.
Supply Chain Strategy:

Develop supply chain strategies to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.

Direct and coordinate global supply chain functions, optimizing resources and maximizing profitability.

Plan and manage sourcing and procurement activities to meet changing product demand.

Implement policies to increase efficiency while ensuring quality and safety.
Procurement Strategy:

Oversee procurement planning updates and communicate with internal teams to manage plans effectively.

Support business units with optimized procurement processes and monitor execution.
-
Liaise proactively with internal customers and departments to keep them informed of procurement schedules.
Supplier Management:

Support supply chain planning on sub-tier supplier capacity assessments.

Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers.
Logistics:

Collaborate with sales/program departments to determine cost-effective distribution solutions.

Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal rotation and maximize working capital.

Work with freight forwarders to establish the best transportation routes and rates.
Generic Accountabilities:

Contribute to the formulation and implementation of supply chain strategy in line with the client’s vision and mission.

Recommend and monitor the supply chain budget, identifying areas for performance improvement.

Develop and oversee the implementation of supply chain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with standards.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 13 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

MCIPS or equivalent degree in Procurement/Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.

Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and proficiency in SAP and MS Office.

Knowledge of the aerospace procurement environment is a significant advantage.
