Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Training Coordinator / Training Officer from the F&B / Hospitality industry to support the development of our front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) teams across multiple brands.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and delivering training programs that enhance service excellence, product knowledge, operational standards, and team performance, ensuring a consistent guest experience across all locations.
Key Responsibilities: Training Delivery & Coordination
- Plan and execute structured training programs for Baristas, Service Staff, Kitchen Teams, Supervisors, and Managers
- Conduct induction programs, onboarding training, and refresher sessions
- Deliver training on:
- Customer service & guest experience
- Coffee knowledge & beverage standards
- Food safety & hygiene practices
- SOPs and brand standards
Learning & Development
- Identify training needs through performance reviews, audits, and feedback
- Develop training materials, SOP manuals, presentations, and assessments
- Support career development plans (PDPs) and internal promotions
- Assist in building leadership pipelines for future supervisors and managers
Operations & Compliance
- Ensure all employees are trained in food safety, hygiene, and operational compliance standards
- Maintain training records and track completion using LMS or internal systems
- Support audits and ensure training compliance across all branches
Performance Monitoring
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and on-the-job observation
- Work closely with Operations, HR, and Store Managers to improve team performance
- Track key KPIs such as:
- Training completion rates
- Employee performance improvement
- Customer service scores
Digital & System Support
- Support implementation and usage of LMS platforms (e.g., Mapal or similar)
- Maintain training dashboards and reports (Excel / Power BI preferred)
- Coordinate e-learning modules and certifications
Requirements: Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Training / L&D within F&B or Hospitality
- Strong background in restaurants, cafés, or hotel operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, HR, or related field (preferred)
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of F&B operations and service standards
- Excellent communication, presentation, and coaching skills
- Ability to train multicultural teams
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); LMS experience is a plus
Preferred
- Experience in specialty coffee training (Barista skills) is an advantage
- Certification in Food Safety / HACCP / Training & Development
- Experience working with multi-branch operations
