About the Role:
We are on the lookout for a driven and strategic Upwork Bidder to join our team. This role focuses on identifying, connecting, and converting potential clients on Upwork and similar freelance platforms. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of generating leads, submitting tailored proposals, and securing projects in the areas of custom software development, UI/UX design, and marketing services. You’ll play a vital part in fueling our growth by building relationships with international clients and supporting the entire sales cycle—from first contact to final contract.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue relevant project opportunities on platforms like Upwork, using in-depth market research and competitive analysis.
- Write customized, persuasive proposals that directly address client requirements and position us as the ideal solution provider.
- Build and maintain a robust project pipeline through consistent prospecting and platform engagement.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of freelance marketplace trends, bidding strategies, and pricing benchmarks.
- Coordinate with internal delivery and technical teams to craft well-structured pitches and estimates.
- Update and manage lead details and communications through CRM systems.
- Conduct initial client meetings and internal briefings to ensure seamless knowledge transfer and project alignment.
- Perform regular outreach to expand lead generation beyond Upwork.
- Own and manage the full pre-sales process — from discovery to proposal to closing — in collaboration with business and delivery leads.
- Collect and interpret feedback from clients and competitors to improve proposal success rates.
Requirements & Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related discipline.
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in business development or bidding roles on Upwork or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of IT services including custom software development, UI/UX design, and marketing services.
- Exceptional proposal writing skills with an ability to communicate value to an international client base.
- Fundamental understanding of CRM systems like HubSpot, Salesforce etc.
- Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills.
- Proficient in negotiation, client management, and closing deals.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and target-driven individual.
