What is Manager Enterprise Planning?

We are seeking an experienced Manager Enterprise Planningto lead the design, development, and governance of enterprise-grade architectures for JazzCash's large-scale digital payments ecosystem. This role involves managing a team of architects and engineers while driving strategic architecture initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and maintaining high standards of scalability, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in enterprise solution design, hands-on development background, and deep knowledge of Kafka, MQ, and microservices architecture, along with extensive experience in cloud-native platforms, DevOps practices, and modern distributed systems.

What does Manager Enterprise Planning do? 

Key Responsibilities

·       Lead the architecture strategy and roadmap for JazzCash's real-time payments, transaction processing, and fraud detection platforms.

·       Define and govern enterprise architecture standards for event-driven microservices, ensuring scalability, resilience, security, and alignment with business goals.

·       Oversee the design and operation of enterprise messaging platforms including Kafka, ActiveMQ/RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, and related streaming technologies.

·       Establish and enforce architecture best practices for schema governance, messaging standards, integration patterns, and API design across engineering teams.

·       Collaborate with engineering, product, and platform teams to deliver high-throughput, low-latency services built on Java, WSO2, and Node.js microservices architectures.

·       Drive organization-wide adoption of DevOps and cloud-native practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

·       Define enterprise observability and monitoring strategy, ensuring effective logging, metrics, and alerting through platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Confluent Control Center.

·       Lead capacity planning, scalability strategies, and HA/DR architecture to support large-scale digital payment workloads while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (SBP, PCI-DSS, and data privacy standards).

·       Manage and mentor architecture and engineering teams, providing technical leadership, architecture governance, and career development support.

·       Engage with technology vendors and strategic partners to evaluate solutions, drive platform adoption, and ensure enterprise-level support and integration.

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Manager Enterprise Planning?

Required Skills & Experience

·       8+ years of experience in IT, with 3+ years in solution architecture, platform engineering, or technical leadership roles.

·       Strong background in backend technologies and distributed systems, with hands-on experience in Java, WSO2, Node.js, or similar enterprise platforms.

·       Proven experience designing and governing microservices and event-driven architectures, including messaging systems such as Kafka, ActiveMQ/RabbitMQ, or IBM MQ.

·       Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, Kubernetes/OpenShift, observability, and Infrastructure-as-Code.

·       Experience defining enterprise architecture standards and integration patterns, including API-first design, pub-sub architectures, and large-scale distributed systems.

·       Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing or mentoring architecture and engineering teams and driving cross-team technical initiatives.

·       Experience in high-scale financial services, fintech, or digital payments environments with strong understanding of reliability, scalability, and regulatory considerations.

·       Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with product, engineering, operations, and vendor partners.
