holder will be an experienced and skilled mechanical technician and supervisor undertaking

a range of detailed maintenance activities on the Typhoon aircraft or aircraft

components.<br>

requires an excellent understanding of the approved technical data set and is
<br>
competent to supervise personnel carrying out maintenance instructions in
<br>
accordance with the organisation&rsquo;s regulatory framework.<br>

</p><div>Demonstrates a

distinct ability to analyze and diagnose faults to aircraft systems, equipment
<br>
and assemblies, follow diagnostic procedures and work effectively within a
<br>
team. Provide guidance to less experienced team members in a diverse and
<br>
dynamic operational environment
<br>
</div><div></div><div><b>Key Responsibilities:</b>
</div><ul><li>Undertaking detailed maintenance, inspection
<br>
and supervision activities on the Typhoon and its components.</li>
<li>Assuring work
<br>
carried out has been completed in accordance with the work package using the
<br>
relevant approved technical information.
</li><li>Resolving faults and maintenance
<br>
issues, including configuration management</li>
<li>Undertaking and complete tasked maintenance &amp; diagnostic activities
<br>
on the Typhoon aircraft or components which may include, as appropriate,
<br>
aircraft ground handling, flight servicing, aircraft role changes, component
<br>
removals, inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications,
<br>
replacements and/or functional/system test</li>
<li>Demonstrate a
<br>
flexible and proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilities appropriate to
<br>
the role and takes direction appropriately</li>
<li>Maintain personal
<br>
task authorizations for working on aircraft or components</li>
<li>Ensuring that
<br>
maintenance is undertaken to schedule and resolve any issues, escalate as
<br>
required</li>
<li>Undertaking fault evaluation and raise ad hoc work cards for &lsquo;found
<br>
faults&rsquo; during maintenance</li>
<li>Supervising the team to ensure that
<br>
maintenance is undertaken to schedule and highlight any issues, escalate as
<br>
required. Report on any impact to the wider program</li>
<li>Ensuring that staff are sufficiently
<br>
competent and approved for the maintenance tasks allocated to them</li>
<li>Undertaking support tasks within the
<br>
Aircraft or component maintenance facility which are required to maintain
<br>
compliance with the MOE and</li>
<li>Functionally Mandated Procedures (FMP&rsquo;s) (e.g.
<br>
oversight checks, control of tooling / test equipment etc.)&rdquo;</li>
<li>Provide guidance and leadership to the
<br>
team. Develops team members using formal assessment processes, e.g. PDR&rsquo;s,
<br>
supports and sponsors training requests including &lsquo;on the job training&rsquo;.

Demonstrates sound and comprehensive communication and people management skills
<br>
in order to exchange complicated information</li>
<li>Ability to scope and carry out
<br>
independent and vital inspections
<br>
</li><li>Maintaining a
<br>
personal Log Book to demonstrate currency and recency, on completion of On the
<br>
Job training (OJT) activities, sign other personnel&rsquo;s logbooks as
<br>
appropriate within your trade and skills boundaries. If you are an approved
<br>
designated assessor, undertake authorisation and task competency approvals, and
<br>
check Pt 145 license application packs prior to submission<br>

<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Requirements</b></h3>
<ul><li>Completion of Typhoon Q-Course is essential.</li>
<li>Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering or Military equivalent apprenticeship / qualifications.</li>
<li>Academic qualification for this role is a minimum of City &amp; Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance or equivalent.</li>
<li>Aircraft platform training (On a/c requirement)</li>
<li>Requires a broad and in-depth product knowledge/competency within own technical/subject area.</li>
<li>Awareness of how the team integrates with others in order to achieve the overall objectives of the area and demonstrates an understanding of the requirement for continuous improvement and its application</li>
<li>Experienced and competent leader at this level. Requires a minimum of 2 years working at Technician level prior to undertaking a Supervisor role.</li>
<li>Demonstrating breadth of experience, currency &amp; recency via a Log Book capturing skills, knowledge and authorities for working on Aircraft type or in bays. Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.</li>
<li>A comprehensive knowledge of Expositions and Functionally Mandated Procedures Management training. PDR training / experience</li>
<li>Ensure personal compliance with the risk assessments, SHE policies and procedures</li>
<li>Typhoon Composite Flight Servicing</li>

  Primary Purpose Of The Job

 Perform duties as a Watch Commander to direct and motivate teams responding to fires, rescues and other emergency situations to prevent escalation as quickly as possible. Design and formulate drills and exercises within the community to develop individual and team competencies to the benefit of the industrial cities community and within a safe working environment.

 <br/>
 Direct the on-station watch in the performance of routine and non-routine duties, including emergency operations, exercises, drills, emergency vehicle operation and preparedness activities.

  Required Experience And Skills
  <br/>
  <br/>
 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Successfully completed Basic Fire Fighter 1 &amp; 2 (NFPA 1001) &amp; Breathing Apparatus Wearer course.
  </li>
  <li>
   Successfully completed NFPA 1041 Fire Instructor 1 &amp; NFPA Fire Officer 1 &amp; 2
  </li>
  <li>
   Qualified First Aider to first responder (CPR with AED) level.
  </li>
  <li>
   Minimum 7 years as a Fire-Fighter or equivalent in a commercial or industrial Fire-Fighter environment, civil, or military fire service or three years as leading fire-fighter in QP.
  </li>
  <li>
   Possess a valid driving License - preferably Heavy Vehicle.
  </li>
  <li>
   Technical skills -- must be able to use broad range of modern equipment for firefighting and rescue.
  </li>
  <li>
   The ability to rapidly information on arrival at an incident in conditions may be dangerous and confusing and accordingly dictate instructions to the on-scene crews.
  </li>
  <li>
   Understanding for the victims of fire and accident and able to cope with distressing circumstances.
  </li>
  <li>
   Intermediate Language ( (QP L4) both spoken and written.
