Key job responsibilities<br>
The ideal candidate for this role has strong experience in designing and developing scalable high-performance systems and services that are flexible, reliable, and maintainable. You have excellent problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, and a customer-focused mindset. You take pragmatic and iterative approach to building software: you have an ability to simplify and get things done with a demonstrated track record of building and delivering software and working effectively with external and internal teams. You will build services to handle billions of requests per day, while maintaining response latencies in the milliseconds and meeting strict SLA requirements. Our systems and algorithms operate on one of the world's largest product catalogs and it is quite routine for our systems to operate on massive datasets using distributed frameworks.<br>

About the team<br>
The Sponsored Brands Impressions-based Offerings team is responsible for evolving the value proposition of Sponsored Brands to drive brand advertising in retail media at scale, helping brands get discovered, acquire new customers and sustainably grow customer lifetime value. We build end-to-end solutions that enable brands to drive discovery, visibility and share of voice. This includes building advertiser controls, shopper experiences, monetization strategies and optimization features. We succeed when (1) shoppers discover, engage and build affinity with brands and (2) brands can grow their business at scale with our advertising products.

The Associate Attorney position is a three-year position with the potential for extension, designed to help attorneys who are in the early stages of their careers to develop into thoughtful, professional, and effective advocates skilled in the various phases of public interest litigation. As Associate Attorneys gain experience, they gradually take on more independent responsibility for their cases but work throughout their tenure under the supervision of Senior Attorneys, Deputy Managing Attorneys, or the Managing Attorney. Although the primary focus of the Northwest office is representing environmental and community groups in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and northern California, we often take cases with national scope.
