Essential Functions
<br><ul>
<li>Assist in the setup and to utilize equipment for non-destructive testing of components and materials in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and procedures.</li>
<li>Assist in the process of performing non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections, such as gamma radiography, x-ray radiography, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, leak testing and visual inspections.</li>
<li>Assist in the NDT examination techniques. Select, prepare, load, calibrate, or operate equipment used in the non-destructive testing of products or materials.</li>
<li>Assist in the identification of defects in materials using testing techniques.</li>
<li>Drive Company vehicles and maintain safe driving record.</li>
<li>Train on experienced tasks and learn new tasks from Lead Technicians.</li>
<li>Follow instructions to ensure safety of entire team.</li>

<li>Mechanical – Basic mechanical knowledge.</li>
<li>Safety – Knowledge of, and willingness to follow, applicable safety regulations, policies and procedures. Apply these safety standards in the work environment and look out for other crew members.</li>
<li>Able to Work a Demanding and Flexible Schedule - Strong work ethic required. Able to work long periods of time, up to 16-hour days. Able to respond to call-outs on short notice and to stay on site, including long distance travel for extended periods of time.</li>
<li>Physical Demands – Able to frequently lift and carry objects up to 75 pounds on loose, rough or uneven terrain. Able to occasionally exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 150 pounds with assistance. <div>The Patient Care Technician position on G20 Leukemia unit at MD Anderson Cancer Center provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse, and directly impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.<br>

<b>Ideal candidate must have a high school diploma and either one year of recent experience in an acute care setting as a Nursing Assistant or a CNA certification.</b><br>
<br>
The unit has vacancies for both dayshift and nightshift. The ideal person will be able to work 3-12/hour shifts from 7pm-7am with rotating weekends and holidays.<br>
<br>
The inpatient Hematology Service provides advanced oncology care to adult patients diagnosed with leukemia, myeloma, lymphoma and mycosis fungoides. Our health care team consists of specialized physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, clinical nurses, and ancillary staff. Typically, hematology patients are hospitalized for supportive care during active, aggressive high-dose chemotherapy/biotherapy and cellular therapy through a wide range of morbidity related symptoms, as well as re-hospitalization for treatment side effects.<br>
<br>
Inpatient Leukemia care includes diagnosis, induction, consolidation, maintenance chemotherapy and symptom management, as well as salvage therapies for relapsed disease. Patients with lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and mycosis fungoides are treated with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologic agents and radiation therapy on a dedicated unit.<br>
