As an Airport Law Enforcement Officer - Airport Armed Patrol Driver in Lihue, HI, you'll serve on the front line of aviation security-ensuring public safety, safeguarding airport facilities, and upholding the spirit of aloha through professional service. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to support a positive atmosphere. This position requires you to be armed and to operate a vehicle as part of your responsibilities. You will also provide exceptional customer service and communication, reflecting our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.
Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon
Pay Rate: $28.86 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.58. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

<li>Valid Driver's License</li>
<li>Law Enforcement Officer License</li>

Basic Qualifications: The basic qualifications listed below are representative of the relevant knowledge, skills, and/or experience required in order to be hired. These are requirements that we have determined are the minimum a candidate must have in order to be successful in this role.
Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:
Applicant must complete one of the following approved programs:<ul><li>
1. Certified State law enforcement recruit training.</li>

United States, 405 U.S. 105 (1972) and United States v. Henthorn, 931 F. 2d 29 (9th Cir. 1991)).</li></ul></li><li>A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions.</li></ul> 
Knowledge and Skills Required:
<ul><li>Must be able to supervise Contractor's personnel and work effectively with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies and the public on matters relating to security disputes, complaints on the performance, conduct or behavior of subordinate employees.</li></ul>
Other related attributes that would enahnce hiring consideration: These are other criteria that may enhance the hiring decision but would not rule out the candidate for consideration if not present.<ul><li>
Shall have no record of moral turpitude, domestic violence, untruthfulness, or mental or emotional disorders which may interfere with performance of duties.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.</li>
<li>Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.</li>

<li>Maturity in conduct behavior and attitude.</li>

<li>In good physical health and be fully capable of performing normal or emergency duties requiring moderate to arduous physical exertion such as standing, walking patrolling for an entire shift(s), climbing stairs, running and self-defense.</li>
<li>Ability to perform essential physical tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:<ul><li>
Lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs. (e.g., fire extinguisher) for a designated distance.</li>
<li>Assisting in the safe evacuation of individuals, including carrying a small child or providing support to persons with limited mobility.</li></ul></li>
<li>Subject to a random drug screen.</li>
<li>Must be able to exercise physical force, if required, in the execution of their official duties.</li>
