Cloud Engineer &mdash; Doha BranchAbout the roleWe are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer based in Doha to design, deploy, and operate scalable, secure cloud infrastructure and platforms that support business applications and services across the organisation.Key responsibilities<ul><li>Cloud architecture &amp; deployment: Design, implement and optimise cloud architectures (IaaS/PaaS) using best practices for scalability, resilience and cost-efficiency.</li><li>Infrastructure as Code: Develop and maintain IaC templates and pipelines (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM) to provision and manage cloud resources.</li><li>Platform operations: Deploy, monitor and maintain cloud environments (compute, networking, storage, identity) across public (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid landscapes.</li><li>CI/CD &amp; automation: Build and support CI/CD pipelines, automated build/deploy workflows, configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and release automation.</li><li>Security &amp; compliance: Implement cloud security controls (IAM, network segmentation, encryption, secrets management), enforce least-privilege access and support compliance with local regulations.</li><li>Performance &amp; cost optimisation: Monitor resource usage, tune performance, and implement cost-management practices including rightsizing and reserved-instance strategies.</li><li>Monitoring &amp; incident response: Implement observability (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Stackdriver), runbooks and participate in on-call rotation to respond to incidents and perform root-cause analysis.</li><li>Backup &amp; DR: Design and test backup, snapshot and disaster-recovery strategies to meet RTO/RPO requirements.</li><li>Containerisation &amp; orchestration: Deploy and operate container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS/AKS/GKE) and support microservices architectures.</li><li>Collaboration &amp; support: Work with development, security, network and operations teams to onboard applications, define SLAs and resolve infrastructure-related issues.</li><li>Documentation &amp; standards: Maintain architecture diagrams, runbooks, operation</li><li>Continuous improvement: Evaluate new cloud services and tooling to improve platform reliability, security and developer productivity.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; experience<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).</li><li>3+ years&rsquo; hands-on experience in cloud engineering, platform or systems engineering; experience with AWS, Azure or GCP in production environments.</li><li>Proven experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation), container orchestration (Kubernetes) and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).</li><li>Strong Linux/Windows administration, networking (VPC, subnets, routing), and scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).</li><li>Practical knowledge of cloud security, IAM, secrets management and compliance frameworks.</li><li>Experience with monitoring/observability stacks and log management (ELK, Prometheus/Grafana, Cloud-native tools).</li><li>Familiarity with database-as-a-service, caching, and messaging services in cloud environments.</li><li>Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect/DevOps Engineer, Azure Administrator/Architect, Google Cloud Professional) are advantageous.</li><li>Excellent problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.</li><li>Valid work authorisation for Qatar.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: QAR35.00 - QAR55.00 per hourWork Location: In person
