SUMMARY OF OPPORTUNITY:</b></p><p>
The Soccer Coach is responsible for all coaching related activities, developing and sustaining a successful program with a strong emphasis on skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, developing character with a high degree of discipline. <b>The Assistant Soccer Coach's responsibilities are not limited to the playing season;</b> as events, season planning, player development, continuous academic monitoring and other activities are involved in the facilitation of a successful program.</p><p>
Additionally, the <b>Assistant Soccer Coach</b> is responsible for monitoring the academic progress of their student-athletes, engagement in community service activities, promoting the program throughout the community and through social media, and the overall program management during the calendar year. <b>The Assistant Soccer Coach will be expected to develop relationships with IPS feeder schools to enhance skill development</b> and provide guidance at the younger levels with a strong emphasis on increasing athletic participation throughout the IPS pipeline.</p><p>

Follow and maintain knowledge of all IPS and IHSAA rules regulation and guidelines governing the sport of Soccer.</li><li>

Plans, organizes, advertise and conduct tryouts for the sport; inform Athletics Director and participants of final selections and maintain the integrity of the selection process as well as effectively communicating final cuts.</li><li>

Studies the skills and abilities of each student-athlete on the team and puts them in position to be successful and contributes to the team success.</li><li>

The Employment Training Specialist (ETS)/Job Coach is responsible for the overall provision and management of employment training for secondary students with IEPs who will graduate high school with a Certificate of Completion. The ETS provides direct instruction to students, support to TORs and IAs; networks with local businesses; and collaborates with other team members to create a successful transition to employment that is individualized to graduates&rsquo; support needs. This is a 10-month, classified position.</p><p></p><p><b><br>

Core Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><p>
The Employment Training Specialist (ETS)/Job Coach focuses upon preparing students for employment via providing a variety of service learning and internships in community businesses for high school students who are working toward a Certificate of Completion in the Life Skills and ARCHES Programs. The ETS spends much of their time in the community developing internships and paid employment opportunities for students and providing students with instruction and support. Student support includes directly coaching instructional assistants who accompany and coach students on-the-job; providing direct coaching/instruction on the job as well as in safe navigation and travel to and from the internship. The ETS is the primary liaison and contact person among the community businesses, student, and school staff. Much of the remainder of the ETS&rsquo; time is used for monitoring and recording student progress and performance on all aspects of their internships and assisting students to apply for post-high school and adult services.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
&ldquo;Day In the Life&rdquo; Overview</b></p><p>
On a regular day, as ETS you might:</p><ul><li>
 Aligns students&rsquo; employment training experiences to result in successful preparation for post-secondary program options, paid employment, and greater independence in community life.</li><li>
Develops in-school and community internship opportunities for high school students that offer varied types of work for the purpose of assessing students&rsquo; interests, aptitudes, and skill acquisition.</li><li>
Oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of in-school and community internships</li><li>
Acts as the liaison between the school employment program and community businesses who host internships.</li><li>
 Serves as the primary contact among local businesses, students, special education programs, and transportation re: student internships</li><li>
Coordinates student work and transportation schedules/training.</li><li>
 Provides direct instruction and support to students to utilize public transportation and complete required tasks onsite at their internships.</li><li>
Establishes a Job Analysis for each internship that is the basis for the data collection of student interns&rsquo; progress</li><li>
Analyzes student progress data into required reporting formats and utilizes the data for assessment of student interests and assets for employment purposes/outcomes.</li><li>
Trains school staff how to perform job tasks and appropriately support individual students onsite.</li><li>
Coaches IA&rsquo;s on proper methods and timing of fading prompts to build student independences</li><li>
 Sustains a unified system for data collection and individual student employment-related records</li><li>
 Establishes, updates, and maintain individual students&rsquo; Vocational History throughout the high school years</li><li>
Collaborates with each student and their team to develop a long-term plan toward transition.</li><li>
Updates program reports reflecting students&rsquo; status as outlined in the ETS Procedures Manual according to the established schedule.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>

</b></p><ul><li>Upon being hired, IPS ETS is required to successfully complete the Employment Specialist Training offered by the Center on Community Living and Careers [CCLC] of the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community [IIDC] at IU. This training introduces new employment specialists to the field of community employment services. Estimated training completion time is 40 hours with online assignments required in order to successfully complete the training and receive a competency-based certificate from Indiana University.</li><li>

<div><p><b><i>This is a part-time position paying $14-$17 per hour and the school location is on the northeast side of Indianapolis.</i></b></p><div></div><p>
The Instructional Interventionist supports academic achievement for students attending Excel Center, meeting students where they are. The Interventionist employs a student-centered approach effectively tailoring individual or small group instruction to students who are struggling academically. Duties include monitoring, reporting, and communicating student progress and performance. The position will work under the direct supervision of the leadership team who will oversee which students receive intervention as well as intervention strategies. This position is funded by the ESSER grant to support the return to in-person instruction and school improvement goals while adhering to the Indiana State Standards.</p><p></p><p><b>
Example Duties and Activities</b></p><ul><li><p>
Partners with teachers, administration, and families to help identify best practices for the delivery of high-quality instruction to individual students and small groups that meet academic standards and measure progress towards student mastery of the Indiana Academic Standards, Common Core State Standards, and 21st Century Skills.</p></li><li><p>
Works with school personnel to implement and utilize identified research-based interventions that specifically focus on individual student needs.</p></li><li><p>
Participates in meetings with teachers, coaches, and administration to discuss student placement and progress. Assists with identifying students for placement in intervention groups.</p></li><li><p>
Maintains, tracks, and communicates relevant student performance documentation and data to set improvement and/or achievement goals and to drive future evaluation and feedback. Uses data to provide instruction to students and to bring their skills to mastery.</p></li><li><p>
Provides diagnostic assessments for students as needed.
</p></li><li><p>Assists with student attendance keeping.</p></li><li><p>
Develops personal professional/performance goals and action plans to reach goals. Reflects on prior goals and makes adjustments to professional practice and goals.</p></li><li><p>
Works directly with staff to develop and implement school-wide goals around graduation outcomes, enrollment needs, student achievement, retention, etc.</p></li><li><p>
Works with coaches and leadership staff to aid students&rsquo; progress toward graduation and postsecondary planning.</p></li><li><p>
Assists staff with professional development, training, and goal setting.</p></li><li><p>
Sets and maintains a high-performance culture for staff and students.</p></li><li><p>
