Join Our Team
We are currently looking to hire a Hostess that will plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive and welcoming dining experience for guests. They are the first point of contact for guests and are responsible for greeting, seating, and assisting patrons throughout their visit. The hostess creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, manages table reservations, and supports the restaurant team in providing exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
Greeting and Seating Guests:
<ul><li>Welcome guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanor.
</li><li>Manage the seating process efficiently to ensure a smooth flow of guests.
</li><li>Monitor and maintain the waitlist, taking note of special requests or preferences.
</li></ul>Table Reservations:
<ul><li>Handle telephone inquiries and table reservations, recording them accurately.
</li><li>Maintain an organized reservation book, updating it regularly.
</li><li>Ensure that reserved tables are prepared and set appropriately before guests' arrival.
</li></ul>Communication and Guest Relations:
<ul><li>Provide information about the restaurant's offerings, menu, and promotions.
</li><li>Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously.
</li><li>Demonstrate a genuine interest in guests' needs and preferences, going the extra mile to ensure their satisfaction.
</li></ul>Coordination with Restaurant Team:
<ul><li>Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure a seamless dining experience.
</li><li>Inform servers about special guest requests or considerations.
</li><li>Collaborate with the restaurant team to maintain efficient table turnover and service flow.
</li></ul>Maintain Restaurant Appearance:
<ul><li>Keep the entrance and reception area tidy and welcoming at all times.
</li><li>Monitor the cleanliness and organization of dining areas and ensure they meet established standards.
</li><li>Assist with clearing and resetting tables when needed.
</li></ul>Special Events and Functions:
<ul><li>Assist in organizing and coordinating special events or private functions when required.
</li></ul>Compliance and Safety:
<ul><li>Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
</li><li>Comply with the resort's policies, procedures, and guidelines.
</li></ul>Skills and Qualifications:
<ul><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
</li><li>Proficiency in Arabic and English is a must.
</li><li>Positive, friendly, and outgoing personality.
</li><li>Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
</li><li>Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
</li><li>Strong customer service orientation.
</li><li>Basic knowledge of restaurant operations and menu items.
</li><li>Proficient in basic computer skills.
</li><li>Previous experience in a similar role or in the hospitality industry is an advantage.
</li></ul>Working Conditions: The host/hostess role primarily takes place in a restaurant setting, including standing for extended periods and working in a fast-paced environment. They may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the restaurant's operating hours and the resort's needs.

 Position Summary
 
 
 
 Greet guests and determine the number in their party. Seat guests by finding a clean, available table; pulling out chairs; placing clean/current menu in front of guest, etc. Guide guests through the dining rooms and provide any needed assistance. Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings and organize seating for groups with special needs. Ensure place settings are appropriate and each guest has a napkin, clean silverware, and any other item that is part of the standard place setting. Check menus to ensure they are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free. Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures. Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and well being of guests.
 
 
 Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards. Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
