Based at the Mandarin Oriental Doha, Qatar within the Housekeeping department in Doha, the Housekeeping Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Housekeeping Department by coordinating communication between various departments, managing guest requests, overseeing the lost and found system, and supporting the housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and service throughout the property. Housekeeping Coordinator reports to the Assistant Executive Housekeeper.
As a Housekeeping Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following duties:<ul>

Act as the central communication hub for the Housekeeping Department, managing calls, dispatching tasks, and logging all communications accurately.</li>
<li>Coordinate and follow up on guest requests, room status updates, and maintenance issues to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.</li>
<li>Manage lost and found procedures, key control, and housekeeping inventory, maintaining accurate records and compliance with hotel policies.</li>

The role involves leading housekeeping staff, conducting inspections, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Supervise daily housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas</li><li>Allocate duties and assign room cleaning tasks to housekeeping attendants</li><li>Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met</li><li>Ensure compliance with hotel hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards</li><li>Train, guide, and monitor housekeeping staff to improve performance and service quality</li><li>Handle guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping professionally and promptly</li><li>Coordinate with Front Office for room status updates (occupied, vacant, check-out rooms)</li><li>Report maintenance issues and follow up with the Engineering Department</li><li>Monitor and control linen, cleaning supplies, and housekeeping inventory</li><li>Ensure proper use and care of cleaning equipment and hotel assets</li><li>Maintain staff attendance, grooming standards, and discipline</li><li>Prepare daily reports and communicate operational issues to the Housekeeping Manager</li><li>Ensure adherence to hotel policies, SOPs, and safety procedures</li><li>Assist during peak periods, VIP arrivals, and special events</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Senior Housekeeping Attendant (4+)</li><li>Previous experience in a hotel environment (4 star preferred)</li><li>Good knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning chemicals, and safety standards</li><li>Strong leadership and communication skills</li><li>Attention to detail and strong organizational skills</li><li>Basic computer knowledge is an advantage</li><li>Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays</li><li>Good command of English (additional languages are an advantage)</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentApplication Question(s):<ul><li>Do you have a Valid Qatar ID?</li><li>Can you get NOC for Sponsorship Transfer?</li><li>If Selected Can you Start Immediately?</li></ul>
