 Wood is recruiting for a Lead Project Engineer to join its Projects team focusing on delivering across FEED and Detail design scopes of work. In this role, you will be responsible to execute the activities and processes associated with Project Engineering in the NGL Acceleration Project including discipline input for Pipeline, Materials and Construction for the project as well as the Marjan Project. Apply and expand hands-on experience on all provide technical expertise in terms of materials, corrosion &amp; degradation mechanisms as well as mitigation plans &amp; standards during facility and project life cycle phases and aspects for oil &amp; gas industry. Additionally, manage and provide the necessary support for managing and resolving internal and external interfaces with stakeholders.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 The Lead Project Engineer will be responsible:

 Responsible for the material engineering/selection for various projects ensuring cost-effectiveness and fit for the job.

 Develop corrosion control plans and mitigation strategies as well as inspection and monitoring plans.

 Help the procurement team with the selection of suppliers and vendors based on technical specifications and project requirements.

 Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and continuous communication throughout the FEED/DD stage.

 Deliver presentations to stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and senior management, to ensure alignment on project objectives and progress.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure that client feedback and requirements are incorporated into the design and planning processes.
 </li>
 <li>
 Verify that the design adheres to relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental laws.
 </li>

 Work with the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) team to perform hazard identification and risk assessments during the FEED/DD phase.

Civil Infrastructure Design Review 
 
<ul><li>Review and approve designs for project civil infrastructure including access roads, hardstands, drainage systems, cable trenching, equipment pads and perimeter fencing. 
</li></ul><ul><li>Assess earthworks designs including cut-and-fill balance, erosion control, slope stability and compaction specifications. 
</li></ul><ul><li>Review substation and transformer foundation designs, including equipment pads, cable trenches, cable basement structures and bunded areas for oil containment. 
</li></ul><ul><li>Evaluate civil designs for O&amp;M building foundations, met mast foundations and security infrastructure. 
</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure civil design adequacy for desert and harsh-climate conditions including wadis, flash flooding risk, sand drift, extreme temperatures and corrosive environments.

Construction Quality Assurance &amp; Site Support 
 
<ul><li>Review and approve construction method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs) and quality control procedures for all structural and civil works. 
</li></ul><ul><li>Conduct technical site visits to assess ground conditions, review construction progress, verify foundation installation quality and provide on-site engineering guidance.
