Position Responsibilities: <ul><li> Set up, adjust, and operate magnetic particle and penetrant inspection equipment, inspecting and interpreting results to accept or reject articles based on established standards. </li><li> Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to evaluate and implement improvements in build processes and defect reduction initiatives. </li><li> Compile and maintain reports on magnetic particle and penetrant inspection results, documenting any nonconforming materials or processes. </li><li> Perform audits and surveillance of manufacturing and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with specifications and procedures. </li><li> Analyze inspection requirements and coordinate work schedules and resources to optimize efficiency. </li><li> Troubleshoot inspection-related problems and develop plans to resolve issues effectively. </li><li> Verify the accuracy and completeness of documentation, including manufacturing orders, drawings, and nonconformance reports. </li><li> Monitor and process non-conforming parts and assemblies, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to Material Review Board dispositions. </li><li> Conduct process control checks on magnetic particle and penetrant inspection chemicals and equipment to ensure compliance with specifications. </li><li> Apply magnetic fields and penetrants to parts, inspecting for defects under specified conditions and documenting findings. </li><li> Secure non-conforming items in designated areas to maintain control and traceability throughout the inspection process. </li><li> Perform re-inspections of reworked items per engineering disposition, communicating findings with relevant stakeholders. </li><li> Provide peer-to-peer training to assist other employees in procedures, equipment use , and standard interpretation. </li><li> Verify certifications for tools, equipment, and personnel to ensure compliance with operational standards. </li><li> Handle and monitor hazardous materials in compliance with safety protocols and regulations. </li><li> Sell completed jobs or in-process checks to inspectors at appropriate steps, and assist other employees with setups and methods as needed. </li></ul> Physical Demands and Potential Hazards: <ul><li> Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs. </li><li> Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting. </li><li> Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants. </li><li> Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards. </li><li> Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions. </li><li> Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties. </li></ul> This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
