Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Design Safety Reviews / Studies, Layout, EERA, ESSA, F&amp;G, Dropped Object, Hazardous Area.
</li><li>Ensure technical integrity of the Safety &amp; Risk discipline&rsquo;s deliverables through the implementation of checking and design review activities.
</li><li>Document key design decisions that may have a significant safety impact.
</li><li>Squad checking of deliverables
</li><li>Updating lessons learnt in the lessons learnt register.
</li><li>Undertake Fire and Explosion Studies and other Risk based studies consistent with Safety Case application. This includes Non Flammable
</li><li>Analysis Studies, Smoke Dispersion modeling, Escape and Rescue Modeling and Emergency System Vulnerability Assessments.
</li><li>Knows the project and discipline scope/cost/time requirements, assists the team to meet expectations, and coordinates with other disciplines to ensure project success.
</li><li>Supports Lead Engineer in monitoring quality activities and takes action where required.
</li><li>Manage safety design and any design changes within budget and schedule.
</li><li>Prepare and participate in weekly discipline meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures.
</li><li>Review and approve all related technical documents and coordinate with the Lead Engineer.
</li><li>Execute verification, studies and detail design following best engineering practices and optimization in term of cost, construction simplicity, operability and maintainability, HSSE.
</li><li>Complete Risk Assessments for clients using Excel spreadsheets or visual basic programs (SMORM &amp; HARRI) developed by Worley Safety &amp; Risk Management.

<ul><li>Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance systems.

<ul><li>Responsible for personal safety safe working practices. Understand and follow OH&amp;S procedures

</li></ul>Education &ndash; Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
<ul><li>Full-Time Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university
</li><li>MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period.
</li><li>Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage
</li></ul>Industry Specific Experience:
<ul><li>Must have vast safety design in offshore oil &amp; gas industry in a brownfield environment
</li><li>Must have solid experience in Technical Safety / Loss Prevention in the Oil&amp;Gas Industry.
</li><li>Performs as a professional Safety &amp; Risk engineer for projects and plant modifications from Front End Development through execution, commissioning and start-up.
</li><li>Recent experience in an engineering consultancy in a multidiscipline environment is essential.
</li></ul>Key area of expertise:
<ul><li>Active Fire Protection (Firewater demand, hydraulic analysis, P&amp;IDs, PFDs, etc)
</li><li>F&amp;G layouts, C/E diagrams
