Job Description 
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Linear Highway Asset Engineer (Roads O&amp;M) to join our team in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will be responsible for the Asset Management and lifecycle performance of linear highway assets across the road network, ensuring their safety, serviceability, compliance, and cost-effective maintenance.
The role covers assets including roadway signage, road markings, and road safety furniture such as vehicle crash barriers (metal beam, cable, and concrete), terminals, transitions, and crash cushions.
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Asset management of linear highway infrastructure, including regulatory, warning, and directional signage; road markings (longitudinal, transverse, thermoplastic, cold plastic, raised pavement markers); road restraint systems (steel beam guardrail, cable barrier, concrete barrier); crash cushions, end terminals, transitions, and associated safety hardware.</li><li>
Ensure adherence to contract requirements, technical specifications, and performance standards, and achieve all contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs).</li><li>
Develop and maintain asset registers within the Asset Management System, ensuring accurate inventory, condition, and performance data.</li><li>
Establish and develop condition assessment criteria and performance indicators for linear highway assets.</li><li>
Analyze inspection and condition data to assess asset health, identify deterioration trends, and prioritize interventions.</li><li>

The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing, configuration validation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of protection systems for MV/HV substations and power distribution projects.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Perform testing and commissioning of Siemens SIPROTEC 5 protection relays</li><li>Carry out secondary injection testing and functional testing of protection schemes</li><li>Verify relay configuration, logic, and settings as per approved protection coordination</li><li>Conduct end-to-end testing including breaker trip/close circuit checks</li><li>Perform protection testing for functions such as:</li><li>Overcurrent &amp; Earth Fault (OC/EF)</li><li>Differential protection</li><li>Distance protection</li><li>Transformer protection</li><li>Feeder protection</li><li>Verify interlocks, alarms, indications, and SCADA signals (if applicable)</li><li>Support site energization activities and resolve technical issues during commissioning</li><li>Prepare commissioning reports, test records, and handover documentation</li><li>Coordinate with clients, project teams, and OEM engineers during commissioning</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications:<ul><li>Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering</li><li>Proven experience in protection relay testing and commissioning</li><li>Strong working knowledge of Siemens SIPROTEC 5</li><li>Experience using relay test kits such as OMICRON / Megger / similar</li><li>Ability to read and interpret protection schematics, wiring diagrams, and SLDs</li><li>Knowledge of IEC standards and electrical safety procedures</li><li>Strong troubleshooting, reporting, and communication skills</li></ul>Please note that applicants should answer the pre-screening questions to be considered for this positionTHOSE WHO CAN JOIN IMMEDIATELY SHOULD APPLY.
