 Responsibilities

 Lead and guide a team of Structural engineers and designers to generate FEED and detailed engineering design basis, specifications, drawings, conduct engineering analysis and associated calculations and recommend technical solutions for Topsides, Jacket for greenfield and brownfield modification projects.

 Act as Lead Engineer in project execution, taking ownership of specific tasks within the project.

 QA/QC, the structural team engineering deliverables for correctness and quality, marks-up any comments or revision of these documents and ensures that the changes are included and completed on the latest copies of all affected documents.

 Able to check, correct design report, drawings developed by the team delivered as per the project requirement

 Conduct technical review of the project to ensure compliance with client's specifications as well as resolving project technical queries

 Our Middle East operations have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join our Doha office in Qatar. To be successful, you must be a qualified Structural Engineer, with 5+ years of experience, a frequent user of FEM analysis software, and possess a solid understanding of current structural engineering technologies applied in the design and delivery of medium-to-large scale building projects.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Demonstrate a strong grasp of structural mechanics, applying engineering principles to analyze and design safe, efficient structures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficient in international design codes, including British Standards (BS), Eurocodes (EN), and American codes (ACI, ASCE, etc.), ensuring compliance across global projects.
 </li>
 <li>
 Skilled in Finite Element Analysis (FEA), with hands-on experience using industry-standard software such as ETABS and SAFE for modeling and structural simulation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Capable of producing comprehensive design documentation across all project phases&mdash;from concept design to Issued for Construction (IFC).
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven track record in delivering medium-to-large scale building projects, meeting performance, safety, and timeline benchmarks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Able to work independently and collaboratively, with a proactive attitude toward learning and adopting new engineering tools and methodologies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experienced in interdisciplinary coordination, integrating structural designs with architectural, MEP, and other engineering disciplines.
 </li>
 <li>
 Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical concepts and collaborate with stakeholders.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prior Middle East project experience is highly desirable, offering familiarity with regional standards and practices.
 </li>
 <li>
 Registered or in the process of registration with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) in Qatar, demonstrating professional credibility and compliance with local regulations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor Construction Works: Monitor and oversee the delivery of works to ensure that construction, maintenance, or improvement works are delivered in accordance with quality, cost, and time requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
 </li>
 <li>
 Engineering Drawings: Create engineering drawings to support the communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Engineering Solutions Design: Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Engineering Standards Specification: Contribute to the analysis of information, the drafting of engineering standards and specifications, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards within own engineering discipline to inform engineering work in the organization and/or of its suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
 </li>
 <li>
 Technical Developments Recommendation: Research and suggest technical developments to improve the quality of the website/portal/software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users&rsquo; needs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

 Testing: Use product specifications to design test procedures and standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Research: Carry out a range of research activities either to support others or to fulfill the requirements of the role.
 </li>
 <li>
 Technical Troubleshooting: Support technical troubleshooting efforts, aiding in the quick and accurate identification, analysis, and resolution of technical issues with equipment and experiments.

 Project Management: Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.
 </li>
 <li>
 Client &amp; Customer Management (External): Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems.
