Structural Engineer

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with 4 years of landscape engineering experience to join our dynamic team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in structural engineering with a specific focus on landscape design and development, ensuring projects are safe, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing. This role will involve working on a variety of landscape infrastructure projects, including parks, outdoor spaces, hardscaping, and recreational facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Structural Design: Provide structural engineering expertise for landscape and outdoor design projects, including parks, plazas, gardens, retaining walls, water features, and recreational areas.
• Site Assessment: Conduct site inspections and assessments, analyzing soil, environmental conditions, and structural integrity to ensure safe and sustainable landscape designs.
• Collaboration with Design Teams: Work closely with landscape architects, urban planners, and contractors to develop and review design concepts, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with local building codes.
• Project Management: Oversee the execution of landscape projects, ensuring they meet design specifications, budget, and timeline. Provide on-site supervision to maintain high-quality standards.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for construction teams during the implementation of landscape designs.
• Code Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to relevant local and international building codes, regulations, and sustainability guidelines, with a focus on minimizing environmental impact.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate engineering reports, designs, calculations, and project documentation.
• Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks related to structural design and construction, and provide solutions to mitigate these risks.
• Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met and expectations are exceeded.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree in Structural Engineering is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on landscape architecture or landscape infrastructure projects.
• Certifications: Professional Engineering (PE) certification or equivalent is preferred. Membership with a recognized engineering institution (e.g., UAE Society of Engineers) is a plus.

Skills:

• Proficiency in structural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis tools.
• Strong knowledge of landscape architecture principles and materials.
• Understanding of local regulations and standards in the UAE.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Language: Proficiency in English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
