Job Title: Supervisor – Slitting & Dispatch Department

Reports To: Plant Head / Production Manager

Job Purpose:

To oversee the slitting operations and dispatch activities, ensuring smooth workflow, quality output, timely delivery, and adherence to customer specifications in the label stock industry.

Key Responsibilities: Slitting Operations:

• Supervise and monitor the slitting machines and operators to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Plan and allocate daily production schedules as per order requirements.
• Ensure correct slitting sizes, roll quality, and minimal wastage.
• Monitor machine performance, downtime, and preventive maintenance needs.
• Train operators on safe handling of machines and quality standards.

Dispatch & Logistics:

• Plan and coordinate dispatch schedules as per customer delivery timelines.
• Ensure proper packaging, labelling, and documentation for all consignments.
• Liaise with transporters for timely pickup and delivery of goods.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and generate daily/weekly reports.
• Coordinate with sales, stores, and production teams for order fulfilment.

Quality & Compliance:

• Ensure products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
• Implement 5S, safety measures, and SOPs in slitting and dispatch areas.
• Address and resolve customer complaints related to dispatch or product damage.

Team Management:

• Supervise a team of operators, helpers, and dispatch staff.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide on-the-job training.
• Motivate and ensure discipline among team members.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of slitting machines and processes in label stock/packaging industry.
• Good understanding of dispatch, warehousing, and logistics operations.
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
• Leadership and team-handling skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office / ERP for reporting and documentation.
• Awareness of safety, quality, and ISO standards.

Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering or Graduate in any discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in slitting operations and dispatch management (preferably in label stock, film, or packaging industry).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
