As part of our expansion in the air freight market, we are looking for an experienced and ambitious Sales Executive - Air Freight , who will lead our customer acquisition and sales strategy in this fast-growing region.

Position Summary

The Sales Executive – Air Cargo (Africa Market) will be primarily responsible for developing and managing relationships with clients exporting and importing cargo via air freight to and from African countries. The role includes continuous client engagement, rate sourcing from airlines, market expansion, and collaboration with the internal team, including marketing and social media, to increase visibility and brand recognition.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Contact and visit potential clients on a continuous basis to promote and secure air cargo business.
  • Actively engage with airlines and consolidators to obtain competitive air freight rates and space allocations.
  • Prepare and present customized air freight solutions, including door-to-door and airport-to-airport options.
  • Promote heavy truck transportation services for GCC and Middle East cross-border shipments.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and social media team to develop promotional campaigns targeted at the global market.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of air cargo trends, airline schedules, transit times, and routing options.
  • Coordinate with operations and customer service to ensure smooth shipment execution.
  • Manage and update CRM with all lead, client, and sales activities.
  • Responsible for achieving the monthly net profit-based sales targets.
  • Report directly to the Sales Manager with weekly sales performance and pipeline updates.
  • Accountable for accurate communication, quotations, follow-ups, and timely client updates.
  • Ensure customer retention through consistent after-sales support and satisfaction tracking.
  • Authorized to negotiate the rates with clients within approved margins.
  • Empowered to request competitive pricing from airline partners and recommend pricing strategies to management.
  • Can initiate and coordinate joint campaigns with the marketing team targeting the different region.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for Cannata Worldwide Cargo Services in the air freight market.
  • Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in all dealings.
  • Maintain and promote our reputation for reliability, transparency, and superior customer service.

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in air cargo/freight forwarding sales, preferably with a focus on global market.
  • Strong knowledge of air cargo processes, airline pricing, and documentation.
  • Familiarity with key African air cargo destinations (e.g., Lagos, Accra, Luanda, Nairobi, and Addis Ababa).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and freight forwarding platforms.
  • Ability to collaborate with creative teams on marketing and digital engagement strategies.
  • Fluent in English; French or Arabic is an added advantage.
  • UAE driving license preferred.
