We develop innovative digital platforms that help utilities, governments, and renewable energy developers monitor, analyze, forecast, and optimize energy systems.</p><p>Our work combines software engineering, data science, energy expertise, and digital transformation to support renewable energy assets, battery energy storage systems (BESS), smart metering, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and power grids.</p><h2> </h2><h2>About the Role</h2><p>We are looking for an experienced <strong>Senior HR Specialist with a strong legal background</strong> to manage and strengthen our HR operations, employee relations, recruitment processes, and employment-related compliance.</p><p>This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can independently manage day-to-day HR matters while ensuring that company policies, employment contracts, personnel procedures, and employee-related decisions comply with applicable Egyptian labor laws and regulations.</p><p><strong>A legal background is a mandatory requirement for this position. Candidates without relevant legal education or substantial professional experience in labor/employment law will not be considered.</strong></p><h2> </h2><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><h3>Human Resources &amp; Personnel</h3><ul><li>Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employment documentation, contract renewals, transfers, promotions, disciplinary actions, and offboarding.</li><li>Prepare, review, and maintain employment contracts, amendments, HR letters, confidentiality agreements, acknowledgements, and other employee-related documentation.</li><li>Maintain accurate and complete personnel files and employee records.</li><li>Develop, implement, and periodically review HR policies and internal procedures.</li><li>Monitor attendance, leave, probation periods, contract expiry dates, and other employee-related deadlines.</li><li>Support payroll preparation by ensuring accurate employee, attendance, leave, and compensation information.</li><li>Coordinate employee performance evaluation and probation review processes.</li><li>Handle employee grievances, workplace issues, and disciplinary matters professionally and confidentially.</li><li>Advise management on HR procedures and employee relations matters.</li></ul><h3> </h3><h3>Labor Law &amp; Legal Compliance</h3><ul><li>Ensure HR practices and documentation comply with <strong>Egyptian Labor Law and applicable employment regulations</strong>.</li><li>Advise management on the legal implications of employment-related decisions.</li><li>Review employment contracts, policies, disciplinary procedures, termination procedures, and employee documentation from a legal and compliance perspective.</li><li>Manage legally compliant procedures relating to warnings, investigations, disciplinary actions, resignations, and termination of employment.</li><li>Keep the company informed of changes to Egyptian labor and employment legislation and recommend necessary updates to policies and procedures.</li><li>Coordinate with external legal counsel when specialized employment-law advice or representation is required.</li><li>Support compliance with social insurance, labor office, and other employment-related governmental requirements.</li><li>Maintain appropriate documentation to minimize employment-related legal and regulatory risks.</li></ul><h3> </h3><h3>Recruitment &amp; Talent Acquisition</h3><ul><li>Manage recruitment processes for technical, administrative, and business positions.</li><li>Draft and publish job advertisements and screening criteria.</li><li>Screen CVs and conduct initial HR interviews.</li><li>Coordinate technical assessments and interviews with hiring managers.</li><li>Conduct reference and background checks where appropriate.</li><li>Prepare employment offers and coordinate contract execution and onboarding.</li><li>Maintain recruitment records and candidate pipelines using the company's HR/recruitment systems.</li><li>Support workforce planning and recruitment forecasting with management.</li></ul><h3> </h3><h3>HR Operations &amp; Development</h3><ul><li>Identify opportunities to improve and automate HR processes.</li><li>Maintain HR data and generate periodic reports on recruitment, headcount, turnover, attendance, leave, and other HR metrics.</li><li>Support the development of compensation structures, job descriptions, organizational charts, and career frameworks.</li><li>Assist management in developing employee retention, engagement, and professional development initiatives.</li><li>Ensure HR processes are consistently applied across the organization.</li></ul><h2> </h2><h2>Mandatory Requirements</h2><ul><li><strong>Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a closely related field, OR demonstrable professional specialization in Egyptian labor and employment law.</strong></li><li><strong>Strong working knowledge of Egyptian Labor Law and employment regulations.</strong></li><li><strong>Minimum 5 years of professional experience in HR, personnel, employee relations, or a closely related function.</strong></li><li>Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing employment contracts and HR-related legal documentation.</li><li>Practical experience handling employee relations, disciplinary procedures, resignations, and terminations.</li><li>Experience with recruitment and onboarding processes.</li><li>Strong understanding of personnel administration, social insurance, and labor-office requirements in Egypt.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills in <strong>Arabic and English</strong>.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>High degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.</li><li>Ability to work independently and take ownership of HR matters from initiation through completion.</li><li>Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience with HR management systems.</li></ul><h2> </h2><h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Law degree with professional HR experience.</li><li>HR certification such as SHRM, HRCI, CIPD, or equivalent.</li><li>Experience working in a technology, software, engineering, consulting, or professional-services company.</li><li>Experience with <strong>Odoo HR and Recruitment</strong> or similar ERP/HRIS platforms.</li><li>Experience developing HR policies and internal regulations.</li><li>Experience supporting rapidly growing organizations and building HR processes from the ground up.</li></ul><h2> </h2><h2>What We Are Looking For</h2><p>The ideal candidate combines the practical mindset of an experienced HR professional with the legal judgment required to protect both the company and its employees.</p><p>We are particularly interested in candidates who are comfortable taking ownership rather than simply administering established processes.
