<p><b>Position Summary:</b> Working within the Appeals Court clerk's office, an assistant clerk assists the clerk in performing the legal and administrative duties set forth in G. L. c. 211A, &sect;&sect; 6 and 8, and the Massachusetts Rules of Appellate Procedure. An assistant clerk works closely with the single justice and three-justice panels, analyzing and discussing complex legal issues and recommending appropriate action by the court when required, and serving as a contact between the court and the parties or counsel. An assistant clerk prepares and maintains all court papers and records and performs administrative tasks to ensure that cases move rapidly and smoothly to a determination by the court. Work is performed under the direction of the clerk although considerable independence is expected in performing assigned tasks. Assistant clerks supervise clerk's office team members.

We are expanding our Advanced Practice Provider team in a state of the art 44 bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit in a new Heart Center here at Boston Children&rsquo;s Hospital. We are looking for diverse and motivated individuals to join our team here in Boston. When you join our team you will work with a supportive group of Advanced Practice Providers, Attending Physicians and Fellows. You will be responsible for taking care of Pre and Post-operative highly acute cardiac patients, along with children who have cardiac medical needs in the intensive care unit. We have an extensive Orientation Program to prepare you for taking care of these critically ill patients and to thrive here at Boston Children&rsquo;s. Providing care to infants, children, and adults with congenital and acquired heart disease.</li><li>

Participating in CICU medical rounds, including presentation of clinical information, plan development and continued management and modification of the plan for patients throughout the shift.</li><li>

Design Intern

MassDOT interns have the chance to work with some of the most highly respected engineers and specialists in the state. Duties include going on site visits, working on exciting and significant projects, and delivering quality work that has a positive and lasting influence on transportation in the Commonwealth. The internship also provides an opportunity to network with professionals across the state.</p><p>
The Engineering Internship Program typically runs 12 weeks from June through the end of August. Students must commit to a full‐time schedule for the internship period.</p><p><b>
Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><p>
Engineering interns will be assigned throughout the Aeronautics Division and may assist MassDOT engineers in the following areas:</p><ul><li>
Preparing and reviewing plans, designs, specifications, and cost estimates for airport construction and/or maintenance projects.</li><li>
Reviewing engineering pavement designs, design reports, and geotechnical reports for airport projects.</li><li>
Reviewing environmental reports and planning studies related to airport projects</li><li>
Conducting airspace reviews in accordance with Chapter 90 requirements.</li><li>
Reviewing Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) advisory circulars and applying standards to engineering projects.</li><li>

Inspecting construction operations, such as drainage, excavation, paving, lighting, signage, and pavement markings to ensure work is being performed according to project specifications.</li><li>
Review engineering scopes of work and preform independent fee analysis.</li><li>
Assisting in reviewing environmental compliance and permitting; including stormwater, wetlands, and wildlife.</li><li>
Reviewing grant application and preparing submissions for grant funding assistance.</li><li>
Assisting with engineering related drone flights and acting as a visual observer.</li><li>
Preparing and analyzing data from drone flights to determine pavement condition index for airfield pavements and obstruction analysis for runway approaches.</li></ul><p><b>
