This position will assist in all aspects of fundraising including individual annual campaigns and major gifts from corporations and foundations, including fundraising events. Job Duties and Responsibilities</b></div><ul><li>

An embedded child/adolescent psychiatrist is also part of the team. We provide primary care, consultations, and care coordination for children with medical complexity. The patient population is focused on youth with medical complexity from the Houston metro area. Our patients' diagnoses include extreme prematurity, tracheostomy and ventilator dependence, genetic disorders, short bowel syndrome.</p><p></p><p><br>
While primarily responsible for direct clinical care as a primary care pediatrician, this position would also involve research, advocacy, and education for families, health care professionals, and others. The Complex Care Clinic program is housed within the Section of Academic General Pediatrics and includes a wide array of faculty experts in medical education, health policy, advocacy, immigrant health and vaccination policy.</p><p></p><p><br>

<div><p><b>UTHealth Houston's Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences' Trauma and Resilience Center Clinic provides evidence‑based, trauma‑focused care for children and adolescents experiencing complex trauma and trauma‑related behavioral health conditions, offering compassionate, family‑centered support. As part of the UT Physicians Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic, the center was established to address the growing needs of youth affected by physical, emotional, or sexual abuse; neglect; natural disasters; accidents; serious medical procedures; sex trafficking; and other forms of violence. Informed by the latest research, the clinic delivers accessible, specialized services that foster healing and resilience for children, adolescents, and their families. Bilingual Spanish Speakers strongly preferred.</b></p><p><b>

Position Summary:</b></p><p>
Under close direction of senior research staff, conducts activities to support research projects.</p><p><b>
Position Key Accountabilities:</b></p><ul><li>
Under close supervision, conducts research activities according to research protocol.</li><li>
Research activities may include some or all of the following: patient recruiting and screening, traditional laboratory experiments and activities, informatics, field interviewer recruiting, screening and training and/or animal laboratories.</li><li>
May maintain clean laboratory equipment and/or work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.</li><li>
Collects, evaluates, and interprets research data to provide needed information to principal investigators and other researchers.</li><li>
Updates notebooks, records, and databases as needed.</li><li>
Stays abreast of new and updated protocols for research department.</li><li>
Orders laboratory and/or other supplies as directed by senior research staff.</li><li>
As needed, may coordinate the work of laboratory technicians and assistants to ensure efficient, timely and high quality results.</li><li>
Complies with all governmental and University policies, rules, regulations, and codes.</li><li>
Maintains a schedule designed to identify participants for longitudinal data collection.</li><li>
Trains and achieve mastery of a protocol for interviewing children and their families.</li><li>
Conduct follow-up calls with participants in between data collection points in order to keep them engaged in the study.</li><li>
Requires participant recruitment from healthcare and school settings.</li></ul><p><b><br>
