The driver position is responsible for safely operating a commercial motor vehicle and providing prompt and complete collection services.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Completes a pre/post-operation check of a commercial vehicle in line with FCC regulations to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, gauges, and other components are in correct operating condition.</li><li>

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
The purpose of the Solid Waste Management Department (SWMD) is to provide solid waste services to the citizens of Houston through the collection, disposal, and recycling of discarded material in a manner that is safe, efficient, environmentally sound, and cost-effective. 
 
This position is also considered an essential worker and frontline responder during disaster recovery efforts and may require mandatory overtime on scheduled workdays, weekends, holidays, and in response to disaster recovery efforts.
 
 
This individual will be responsible for the follow:
<ul><li>Operating the Prentice loader hydraulic gripper assembly and truck, including use of a two-way radio and required safety equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, road reflectors, and personal protective equipment)</li><li>
Transporting refuse materials to designated locations, including landfills, neighborhood depository sites, transfer stations, and resource recovery facilities.</li><li>
Performing pre- and post-trip inspections, maintenance checks, and operator services, including monitoring fluid levels, checking air pressure, and washing vehicles.</li><li>
Accurately completing and submitting required documentation, including check-in times, number and tonnage of loads, fuel usage, and odometer readings.</li><li>
Preparing and maintaining daily operational reports.</li></ul>
MUST PROVIDE OWN SAFETY SHOES.

WORKING CONDITIONS</div>
The position requires stooping, bending and/or lifting of items of up to 30 pounds with occasional periods of walking on rough surfaces. There are routine exposures to significant levels of heat, cold, moisture and air pollution. The position may involve periodic exposure to chemical substances and physical trauma of a minor nature such as cuts, bruises and minor burns. Requires the ability to make fairly complex coordinated and sequenced motor movements in response to quickly changing external stimuli.</div>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</h2></div>
<div><div>EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS 
Basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. as might normally be acquired through the attainment of a high school diploma or GED. 
 
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 
Two (2) years of experience in the operation of plant and automotive equipment are required.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS 
Must have a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License and comply with the City of Houston's policy on driving; in addition, Fuel Truck Operator&rsquo;s License must also have a Hazmat &ldquo;X&rdquo; endorsement.</div></div>

<div>We are seeking full-time W2 Class A CDL drivers, including drivers with limited or no professional driving experience through our paid training program. Positions are available across OTR, regional, and dedicated fleets, primarily east of I-35. Summary: 
The Operations Account Manager supports contracted transportation accounts by ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient shuttle operations. This role partners closely with Operations leadership to manage daily service execution, staffing, client relations, reporting, and continuous improvement while upholding company standards and culture.
 
Key Responsibilities: 
Coordinate daily shuttle operations, monitoring schedules, delays, incidents, and service performance.
 Partner with Operations leadership, dispatch, and sales to plan staffing, driver schedules, and review orders for accuracy.
 Ensure accurate payroll, invoicing, and monthly client reporting.
 Maintain staffing levels, initiate recruiting as needed, and conduct performance evaluations.

Qualifications: 
High school diploma or equivalent required.
