The Role:
Canoe's private markets data is used by clients through a wide ecosystem of downstream reporting, fund accounting, and portfolio monitoring platforms &mdash; many of which serve institutional investors Canoe doesn't yet have a direct relationship with. As Channel Manager, you will build and own these partnerships end to end: identifying the right downstream platforms across our core EMEA markets, establishing data integrations, structuring revenue-share agreements, and turning each partner's existing client base into a qualified pipeline source for Canoe.
We are looking for candidates with a proven track record of building deep relationships with financial services firms, fintech technology companies, and other commercial partners. You have an extensive knowledge of current market conditions, contending offerings and current penetration of services and solutions. 
What You&rsquo;ll Do:<ul><li>
Identify new downstream reporting, fund accounting, and portfolio monitoring platforms serving EMEA-based LPs, asset servicers, family offices and wealth managers whose end clients represent untapped access points for Canoe &mdash; including platforms where Canoe has no existing relationship today.</li><li>
Build relationships with multiple stakeholders at existing downstream partners, to ensure healthy partnership relationships and promote commercial success.</li><li>
Develop and implement strategies to cultivate new opportunities with current and potential channel partners.</li><li>
Design and negotiate commercial terms &mdash; referral fees, revenue share, or reseller/marketplace arrangements &mdash; that make Canoe an easy &quot;yes&quot; for a partner's leadership team.</li><li>
Approach, negotiate, and close technical integration agreements with target downstream platforms, working with product and engineering to scope what a joint data pipeline looks like.</li><li>
Achieve quarterly goal of generating qualified sales opportunities from channel partners.</li><li>
Conduct high-level discovery conversations and meetings with partners and prospective clients.</li><li>
Educate partners about Canoe&rsquo;s product and articulate both Canoe&rsquo;s value proposition with prospects as well as partners.</li><li>
Conduct client, prospect, industry, competitor, and market research/analysis to inform targeted business development efforts.</li><li>
Work cross-functionally across marketing, growth, direct sales, and relationship managers to drive new business opportunities and increase revenue generation.</li><li>
Attend conferences, networking events, and other partner meetings to meet with channel partners and build Canoe&rsquo;s brand in the market.</li><li>
Track and report partner-sourced pipeline, lead volume, and conversion against target &mdash; this is the core metric leadership will use to evaluate the role.</li></ul> 
What We&rsquo;re Looking For:<ul><li>
5+ years in fintech channel/partnerships, or strategic alliances, ideally with direct experience partnering with or selling into fund administration, fund accounting, or portfolio monitoring platforms.</li><li>
Strong discovery skills, with a knack for identifying pain points and consultative selling</li><li>
Working knowledge of the EMEA alternative investment landscape &mdash; key GP/LP servicing platforms, fund domicile jurisdictions (Luxembourg, Ireland, Channel Islands), and relevant regulatory frameworks (AIFMD, SFDR).</li><li>
Proven ability to originate and close partnership agreements from scratch &mdash; this is a hunting role, not a relationship-management one. Track record of building a channel program where none existed is a strong plus.</li><li>
Comfort negotiating commercial terms &mdash; referral models, revenue share, marketplace listings &mdash; with both business and legal stakeholders on the partner side.</li><li>
Strong executive presence, able to sell a technical integration vision to both a partner's commercial leadership and their product/engineering teams.</li><li>
Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity &mdash; much of the target partner landscape and playbook will be built by you, not handed to you.</li><li>

Job Description 
We're hiring a Partner Development Manager to recruit, onboard, and activate channel partners and drive partner-sourced pipeline across our target markets. This is a hands-on commercial role. You'll own the full partner lifecycle from sourcing through to revenue contribution, working closely with the CRO and the direct sales team. 
Early partner relationships are already generating pipeline. This role will scale that motion across a broader portfolio of partners and build the operational rhythm to sustain it. 
You will report directly to the CRO, with a defined path to Head of Channels and Alliances as the programme scales. 
What you'll do 
You'll recruit partners from a curated target list, prioritising cloud hyperscaler ecosystem partners, regional and multi-regional systems integrators with embedded relationships inside enterprise financial services and technology accounts, AI governance and software engineering advisory firms, and complementary SaaS vendors serving the same engineering and finance buyers with adjacent, non-competing products.
You'll run the full partner recruitment cycle from initial outreach through commercial agreement to activation. You'll enable signed partners so thoroughly that they can position BlueOptima confidently and independently. You'll build co-sell motions in lockstep with BlueOptima AEs, including cloud marketplace transactions. You'll manage marketplace listing optimisation and activation mechanics in partnership with our product and finance teams. You'll own the partner pipeline in HubSpot with full transparency and forecast accountability to the CRO every week and every quarter. You'll build and maintain the operational scaffolding of the programme: onboarding processes, enablement materials, deal registration workflows, and partner scorecards. 
Qualifications 
What we're looking for 
Three to five years in B2B channel sales, alliances, or partner management, with demonstrable experience recruiting and onboarding new partners rather than simply managing inherited relationships. You've owned a partner-sourced pipeline number before and you're comfortable being held to one. You know the difference between a signed partner agreement and an active revenue relationship, and everything you build is oriented around the latter. 
Comfort with cloud marketplace mechanics. You don't need to be an expert, but you need to understand how co-sell and marketplace transactions work. Commercial instinct and the ability to build a referral fee model, stress-test the margin assumptions, and present a commercially sound case to finance. Familiarity with enterprise software sales cycles and the confidence to run partner-facing conversations independently at a senior level. The ability to articulate a technical value proposition to non-technical partner audiences. 
You build your own target list, run your own outreach, and generate pipeline independently. You do not wait for partners to come to you. 
What we're not looking for 
Candidates whose channel experience is primarily managing an established partner base, or working within large GSI governance structures at a mature vendor, are likely to find this role a difficult adjustment. Candidates from high-velocity SMB or transactional reseller environments will also find the transition significant. Our buyers are CTOs and CFOs at tier-one financial institutions. The sales motion is deliberate, account-based, and relationship-driven. 
Nice to have 
Experience in developer tooling, DevOps, engineering intelligence, or any SaaS product sold to engineering leadership. Prior experience in financial services enterprise accounts. Exposure to mid-market sales motions alongside enterprise.

The value of an AI agent depends not only on the models behind it, but also on the quality of the structured and unstructured data it consumes and the accuracy, relevance and traceability of the outputs it produces. Your job is to measure that quality, identify where it breaks down and turn the findings into practical improvements.

 role, not an analytical one. You will build the agentic workflows that reason over the firm's research content, and the ingestion, evaluation and guardrail tooling that makes their output trustworthy enough for investment professionals to act on. None of this tooling exists today &mdash; you would be building it from scratch.

 Requirements:

 building production agentic and LLM systems
 
 &mdash; multi-agent or orchestrated workflows that reason across heterogeneous sources (PDFs, audio transcripts, file shares, databases) and surface confidence, gaps and provenance back to end users.

 Hands-on experience
 
 engineering document ingestion and extraction pipelines
 
 : parsing, chunking and the automated quality controls around them &mdash; detecting empty or truncated content, vendor feeds delivering the wrong section of a document, duplication, encoding and OCR defects.

 building evaluation and guardrail infrastructure
 
 for AI systems: groundedness scoring, citation and provenance (file name plus the exact snippet retrieved), eval harnesses, regression suites and LLM observability.
