Job Description:
The Quantity Surveyor is part of the site based team and will be providing all necessary assistance to the team with respect to all commercial aspects and contractual matters in the project. The Quantity Surveyor measures work, checks Contractor's payment applications, assists in the evaluation of variations and claims, and maintains accurate commercial records in accordance with the Conditions of Contract , project specifications, and the requirements of the Client and relevant Dubai authorities (RTA, DM, DEWA).
What you'll be doing: 
Measurement &amp; Valuation<ul><li>
Carry out joint measurement of executed works with the Contractor's QS team on site.</li><li>
Check and verify quantities in the Contractor's monthly Interim Payment Applications (IPAs) against drawings, BoQ, and site records.</li><li>
Apply the project-specified Method of Measurement (POMI, CESMM, or equivalent) consistently.</li><li>
Prepare Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs).</li></ul>
Variations &amp; Change Management<ul><li>
Assist in the evaluation of variation submissions, site instructions, and engineer's instructions.</li><li>
Prepare detailed take-offs, rate build-ups, and cost estimates for variations.</li><li>
Maintain the Variation Register and supporting documentation.</li><li>

Subcontractor &amp; Supplier Support<ul><li>

Cross-check payments to nominated subcontractors as reflected in the Contractor's IPAs.</li></ul>
Site Measurement &amp; Records<ul><li>
Carry out regular site visits to measure and record works in progress, including roadworks, structures, and utilities.</li><li>
Maintain accurate measurement books, site instruction registers, and dayworks records.</li><li>
Coordinate with site engineers and inspectors to verify quantities and quality status before measurement.</li></ul>
Final Account Support<ul><li>
Prepare the Final Account, including all variations, claims, and adjustments.</li><li>
Prepare supporting schedules, measurement sheets, and back-up documentation for the Final Statement.</li><li>
Assist in retention release and Defects Liability Period commercial matters.</li></ul>
Coordination &amp; Reporting<ul><li>
Report to the Senior Quantity Surveyor on day-to-day commercial activities.</li><li>
Liaise with the Contractor's QS team, site engineers, planning engineer, and design team.</li><li>
Attend site measurement meetings and commercial review meetings as required.</li><li>
Prepare weekly and monthly commercial update inputs for the Resident Engineer's reports.</li></ul> 
What required skills you'll bring:<ul><li>
Education: B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.</li><li>
Experience: Minimum 10 years' postgraduate experience in quantity surveying and contract administration, with at least 7 years on infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, tunnels, utilities) and a minimum of 4 years in the UAE/GCC.</li><li>
Knowledge: methods of measurement (POMI, CESMM, SMM7), RTA / DM / DEWA commercial procedures, and current Dubai construction market rates.</li><li>
