<div><p><b>What You'll Do
</b></p><ul><li>Receive and prioritize incoming service requests from customers via phone, email, and other communication channels.</li>
<li>Schedule and dispatch HVAC service technicians based on availability, skillset, location, and job priority.</li>
<li>Communicate job details, customer information, and special instructions to technicians in the field.</li>
<li>Monitor technician schedules throughout the day and make adjustments as needed to accommodate urgent requests and changing priorities.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records of service calls, technician status, customer communications, and job progress.</li>
<li>Coordinate with service managers, sales teams, and parts departments to ensure efficient job completion and customer satisfaction.</li>
<li>Provide outstanding customer service by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and keeping customers informed throughout the service process.</li>
<li>Assist with follow-up communications, appointment confirmations, and schedule updates.</li>
<li>Support the department by identifying process improvements that increase efficiency and service quality.</li>
<li>Ensure dispatching activities are completed accurately and in accordance with company procedures and service standards.</li>
</ul><p></p><p><b>What We're Looking For
</b></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li>
<li>Previous experience in dispatching, scheduling, customer service, administrative support, or a related role preferred.</li>
<li>Experience in HVAC, construction, mechanical contracting, or service industries is a strong plus.</li>
<li>Familiarity with HVAC systems, terminology, and service operations preferred.</li>
<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and scheduling or dispatch software.</li>
<li>Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.</li>
<li>Ability to remain calm, professional, and customer-focused in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, customers, management, and other departments.</li>

<div></div><div>Serco supports our US Naval Ships with successful and safe work by providing cabling, equipment, and C5ISR system installations for our Military. You will join an amazing team to fabricate, and assemble various electromechanical and electronic assemblies by applying appropriate safety techniques.</div><br>

<div></div><div>You play a critical role in ensuring that successful and safe work is performed on-board U.S. Naval Ships and our Military installations, which is vital to our Mission to protect and serve our Military.</div><br>

<div></div><div><b>In this role you will:</b></div><br>

<div></div><ul><li>Receive initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed; performs recurring work independently; work is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions including troubleshooting and correcting malfunctions.</li>
<li>Conduct various tests or experiments which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures as well as subjective judgments in measurement; selects, sets up, and operates standard test equipment and records test data.</li>
<li>Perform assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed such as: Constructs components, subunits, or simple models or adapts standard equipment.</li>
<li>Gather and maintains specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.; performs computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas; plots data and draws simple curves and graphs.</li>
<li>Perform simple or routine tasks or tests such as tensile or hardness tests; operates and adjusts simple test equipment; records test data.</li>
<li>Rely on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and you will typically report to a supervisor in a safe work environment.</li></ul><div><br>
</div><div></div><div><b>To be successful in this role you will have:</b></div><br>

<div></div><ul><li>The ability to obtain and maintain and active DoD Secret Clearance.</li>
<li>US Citizenship.</li>
<li>A High School Diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>5 years experience in electrical work in a related field or relevant/similar experience.</li>
<li>5 years of Shipboard experience or relevant/similar experience.</li>
<li>Ability to obtain and maintain and active DoD Secret Clearance post-employment</li>
<li>Ability to obtain and gain access to shipyards (NAVSTA &amp; DBIDS), undergo a background investigation and pass a drug screening</li>
<li>Ability to obtain an OSHA 10 certification</li>
<li>Ability to get respirator qualified and wear PPE throughout the work shift.</li>
<li>Experience managing a crew 6-10 team members of various trades.</li>
<li>A combination of experience in the following areas:
<ul><li>Competency attaching fiber optic, RJ-45, DB type connectors</li>
<li>Read drawings (Tradesman level)</li>
<li>QCI instruct of lower techs</li>
<li>Implement safety program/SRAR Qual/CP</li>
<li>Prelim QA testing, MCTs, space closeouts</li>
<li>Multipin competent</li>
<li>Elec testing reqs, i.e. ground checks, RSPT testing</li>
<li>Layout &amp; cutting of electrical enclosures, electrical hook-ups &amp; multiple meter knowledge</li>
<li>Reading drawings (Apprentice level)</li>
<li>Band/pack MCTs/RISE</li>
<li>Layout &amp; mount small equipment as needed</li>
<li>Basic knowledge of tools, QA documents, meter</li>
<li>Safety: Actively participates in safety surveillances &amp; walk-thrus</li>
</ul></li><li>Familiarity with NAVSEA, standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of electrical repair, fabrication, and installation.</li>
<li>A Multipin Connector certification.</li>
<li>Fiber Optic certifications.</li>
<li>Ability to work in high heat spaces, climb shipyard dry dock stairs/ladders, work in kneeling position for layout of cable runs under false decking, lift up to 50 pounds with 80% of work requiring carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 40 pounds for majority of shift while being in a standing, crouching, or walking position.</li>
<li>Attention to safety, which is critical.</li>
<li>Ability and willing to travel up to 10% to various work sites</li>
<li>Ability to work on-site in Chesapeake, VA and travel to Newport News, VA.</li></ul><div><br>
