<div>As the Fitness Supervisor you will implement and maintain an integrated fitness and sports program ensuring successful fitness operations 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. The Supervisor shall actively engage with customers regarding programs and events and shall encourage participation. The Supervisor shall be present at events to effectively manage and monitor the programs.
The Fitness Supervisor identifies equipment needs and/or reductions and may recommend items for remodeling and repairing of facilities, and upkeep of equipment. Reviews ideas and implements new services or programs or implements improvements to existing services or programs. Schedule events reflective of community needs to maximize participation.
The Supervisor will have complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Full knowledge of industry practices. Prepares marketing materials as directed by the Alternate Site Manager or Site Manager to ensure all customer requirements are satisfied and all schedules are met.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
<ul><li>Oversee successful operations of 24-hour Fitness Center and fitness &amp; sports program ensuring all PWS requirements are maintained.

</li><li>Identify and make recommendations for repair or replacement of equipment
</li><li>Obtain all needed replacement parts required to keep fitness equipment running to manufacturer&rsquo;s standards.

 </li></ul>EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE:
<ul><li>Five (5) years&rsquo; experience supervising and managing DoD sports and fitness programs or eight (8) years&rsquo; experience of comparable civilian profession.
</li><li>Two (2) years of experience developing graphics for marketing, publicity and advertising. (Preferred)
</li><li>Knowledge of marketing tools inclusive of but not exclusive to web-based applications, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office programs.

Hosting an event may include set-up and tear down of equipment and decorations, audiovisual support, arranging/providing transportation (to include qualified licensed drivers and vehicles) of entertainers (estimated maximum of 20) between point of arrival and the base and during their stay on base, escorting entertainers to and from the event, and providing labor and supervision to support the event as required. As the Recreation Specialist, you may also work in the Lodging office completing reservations, in-processing and out-processing of personnel and performing vacant room checks.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
<ul><li>Must possess an American Red Cross CPR Certificate, an American Red Cross Standard First Aid certificate or local equivalent certifications (as approved by the ACO), and an Automated External Defibrillator Certification.
</li><li>Perform successful operations of 24-hour Recreation and Fitness Centers inclusive of fitness &amp; sports and recreation programs ensuring all PWS requirements are maintained.
</li><li>Perform or oversee the maintenance of the facility ensuring a clean, sanitary, presentable, professional work area free of dirt, debris, clutter, trash and dust.
</li><li>Perform cleaning, maintenance and repairs of all fitness equipment related to the fitness program.
</li><li>Assist in execution of required tournaments, special events, fitness incentive programs, and aerobics/strength training classes IAW government requirements. Fitness program may include between eight (8) and ten (10) special sports events each month such as weekly tournaments for sports other than the current league sport, and competitions such as weightlifting, 5k and 10k fun runs
</li><li>Assist with other facilities or departments as needed to ensure mission success.
</li><li>Monitor all OCN staff associated with the department and if needed other departments.
</li><li>Ensure Fitness Equipment Preventative Maintenance services are completed IAW the PWS.
</li><li>Assist in operation checks and warranty services on fitness equipment IAW manufacturer&rsquo;s guidelines.
</li><li>Assist in daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual preventive maintenance, adjustments, and repair
</li><li>Shall perform NAF re-sale cashier operations inclusive of cashiering, funds control, and conformance to all local operating instructions and policies inclusive of handling and selling alcohol products.
</li><li>Participate in loading, unloading and storing of purchased goods.
</li><li>Will be knowledgeable of the regulations and rules of play regarding all activities and tournaments hosted within the facilities.
</li><li>Actively engage with guests regarding programs and events.
</li><li>Will maintain all MWR facilities in a clean, sanitary, healthy, and professional manner free of dust, dirt, debris, clutter, and trash.
</li><li>Will conduct weekly events include bingo, Texas Hold&rsquo;em, foosball, dominoes, spades, bid whiz, karaoke, pizza night, pool, ping pong, video game tournaments, etc.
</li><li>Handle customer inquiries, check in/out games, play movies, provide information of upcoming trips/tours, decorate for holidays, develop and run tournaments, count customers, provide information of upcoming events, and ensure complimentary consumable items are provided to customers such as popcorn at all times.
</li><li>Shall verify all supplies necessary to enjoy the complimentary items are properly stocked
</li><li>Other duties as assigned by Site Manager.

High school diploma or GED.
