Department/Position Overview:
Burn Trauma is a 34-bed mixed Intermediate care and medical/surgical unit. There are 17 beds for stepdown/intermediate level of care. The patient population is neurosurgery, trauma, burns and orthopedic trauma. The intermediate care patients are received from both the Burn Trauma ICU and the Neurosurgical ICU. Also, there are 17 beds for Medical/Surgical level of care for neurosurgical, trauma, burns, orthopedic trauma, and bariatric weight loss (gastric bypass and gastric sleeves). Our nurses are trained to work both the intermediate and the medical surgical side. The nurse to patient ratio for the Intermediate Care beds are 3 to 4 and for the Medical/Surgical beds are 5 to 6. The Registered Nurse will work in a collaborative role as part of a team to maintain and support the standards of nursing care and practice, to meet the health care needs of patients, their families, and the community.

RCIS Cath LAB-
The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist is a health care professional that, through the utilization of specialized equipment and under the direction of a qualified physician, assists in the performance of cardiac and vascular procedures. Resulting in an accurate diagnosis and/or optimal treatment of congenital or acquired heart disease while maintaining maximum patient safety and comfort. The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist performs/reviews a baseline patient assessment, evaluates patient response to diagnostic or interventional maneuvers and medications during cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures. Provides patient care and drug administration commonly used in the cardiac catheterization laboratory as requested and under the direction of a qualified physician. Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 525-bed tertiary care facility that is home to the only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit in Hampton Roads, and also serves as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School.

Sentara Heart Hospital is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Team Lead for our Electrophysiology Lab.
Position Status:
Full Time, Days, minimal call time
Position Location:
Norfolk, VA- Heart Hospital connected to Norfolk General Hospital
Hourly Range: $32.13-$53

Overview
Serves as a senior expert in the utilization of specialized equipment and under the supervision of a qualified physician and assists in the performance of cardiac and vascular procedures. Resulting in an accurate diagnosis and/or optimal treatment to maintain patient safety and comfort. The lead tech is responsible for the coordination of daily operations in the Heart and Vascular Center. Contributes to the success of the hospital through achievement of system, hospitals, and divisional goals. Provides leadership and administers human resource policies and practices in a multi skilled, multi-functional environment.
