The role focuses on production system design, deliverability assessments, development concept optimization, and production forecasting to support investment decisions, field development planning, and asset commercialization strategies. The Manager ensures that production-related assumptions are technically robust, economically optimized, and aligned with long-term asset value creation objectives.</div><br>

The position will act in accordance with the OQEP&rsquo;s Mission, Vision, Values &amp; Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines, and international standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, QHSE &amp; Energy Management System requirements standards, Omani&rsquo;s government &amp; other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.</div></div></div><div><br>

<div><b>Main tasks and responsibilities
</b></div><div><b>Production System Concept &amp; Development Studies</b></div>
<ul>
<li>Lead production engineering input into Concept Select, Pre-FEED, FEED, and Field Development Plan (FDP) studies.</li>
<li>Develop and evaluate well and production system design options (well architecture, completion strategy, artificial lift screening where applicable).</li>
<li>Assess surface and subsurface integration to ensure optimal reservoir-to-export system design.</li>
<li>Conduct deliverability and network modeling studies to define production capacity scenarios.</li>
</ul>
<div><b>Production Forecasting &amp; Technical Assumptions</b></div>
<ul>
<li>Develop technically sound production forecasts and decline profiles in collaboration with Subsurface teams.</li>
<li>Validate well productivity assumptions, inflow performance, and reservoir deliverability inputs.</li>
<li>Provide production scenarios for economic modeling and portfolio evaluation.</li>
<li>Support reserves maturation processes with defensible production modeling.</li>
</ul>
<div><b>Development Optimization &amp; Value Engineering</b></div>

<li>Identify development optimization opportunities to enhance recovery and capital efficiency.</li>
<li>Evaluate alternative development concepts, phasing strategies, and infrastructure sizing.</li>
<li>Conduct sensitivity analyses on well count, spacing, timing, and production plateau strategies.</li>
<li>Support value engineering initiatives to improve project economics prior to FID.</li>

<li>Provide production engineering inputs for economic evaluations, including capex profiling and operating strategy assumptions.</li>

<li>Participate in asset screening and ranking exercises from a production feasibility perspective.</li>
