WHO YOU ARE</h1>
The Real Estate Manager drives execution of market plans through a team of real estate professionals to identify and assist franchise owners leasing sites. This role assists franchisees in site selection, letter of intent (LOI) negotiation, lease negotiation and provide education on leasing best practices Once sites are identified This role works closely with franchise sales team members, design &amp; construction project managers, landlords and developers to ensure that all shop locations are physically appropriate and can be built out to Playa Bowls standards. They will work cross-functionally with a team of design &amp; construction professionals supporting franchise owners in the new location buildouts. This position is field-based covering territories assigned by the VP of Real Estate. Restaurant Franchise and Corporate experience strongly preferred. WHAT YOU&rsquo;LL DO<ul><li>
Partners with franchise owners and company operators to encourage new store growth following the overall Market Plan.</li><li>
Consults, guides, trains, and assists franchise owners with site selection, site negotiation and presentation of real estate site packages to REC for brand acceptance</li><li>
Manages the workflow and oversees the relationship of the territory&rsquo;s network of Playa Bowls approved real estate brokers employed by franchisees and master broker relationship</li><li>
Maintains a pipeline of real estate deals that is equal to 125% of Playa Bowls planned store opening requirements at the start of each fiscal year for the territory</li><li>

Position Description:
<div>The Department of Finance and Real Estate in the Driehaus College of Business at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Real Estate at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin in Fall of 2026.

Located in the heart of Chicago&rsquo;s financial and business community, DePaul University&rsquo;s real estate program is a recognized leader in professional real estate education in the Midwest. The programs emphasize applied learning in areas such as:
<ul>
<li>Real estate finance and investment</li>
<li>Real estate development and project management</li>
<li>Market analysis and valuation</li>
<li>Legal and regulatory issues</li>
<li>Multifamily housing policy and finance</li>
<li>Structuring real estate transactions</li>
</ul>
The program offers three degrees: an undergraduate degree in real estate, an MBA concentration in real estate finance and investment, and an MS degree in real estate (MSRE).

The successful candidate will be expected to:
<ul>
<li>Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in real estate</li>
<li>Produce and publish high-quality academic research</li>
<li>Engage with faculty colleagues and contribute to the department&rsquo;s academic environment</li>
<li>Participate in university, college, and departmental service activities</li>
<li>Support student recruitment, mentoring, and retention</li>
<li>Contribute to the visibility and impact of the real estate program through active involvement in workshops, events, and industry engagement.</li>
</ul></div>Qualifications:
<ul><li>Ph.D. in real estate, finance, or economics by the time of appointment</li>
<li>Strong potential for scholarly research and publication in real estate finance and investment, housing, urban economics, or real estate-related topics</li>
<li>Evidence of teaching effectiveness at the undergraduate or graduate level (or both), if available</li></ul>

DePaul University has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the qualifications, education, experience, and training of the selected candidate, the scope and responsibilities of the position, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.

About DePaul University's Academic Calendar 
Except for the College of Law, DePaul University operates on a quarter system. Classes in Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters are 11 weeks in length (including finals week) and Summer courses, in two sessions, are typically 5 weeks in length. The College of Law operates on the semester system. Classes in the Fall and Spring semesters are 16 weeks in length (including finals week) and it offers a Summer Session of 7 weeks (including final exams).
