If you want to be part of something from the ground up, this is your opportunity.</p><p><b>Position Overview</b></p><p>We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Make Ready / Porter to join our maintenance team. This role is responsible for preparing vacant units for new residents and maintaining the overall cleanliness and curb appeal of our apartment communities. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works efficiently, and can handle a variety of tasks with minimal supervision.</p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Perform full make-ready turns on vacant units, including cleaning, painting, patching, caulking, and minor repairs to ensure units are move-in ready</li><li>Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of common areas, breezeways, parking lots, courtyards, landscaping, and amenity spaces</li><li>Pick up trash and debris across the property grounds daily</li><li>Assist the maintenance team with basic repairs and work orders as needed, including plumbing, electrical, and appliance troubleshooting</li><li>Pressure wash sidewalks, building exteriors, and other surfaces as directed</li><li>Replace air filters, light bulbs, and other routine maintenance items</li><li>Move appliances, furniture, and supplies as needed for unit turns and property upkeep</li><li>Report any safety hazards, property damage, or maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor promptly</li><li>Assist with trash-outs and removal of abandoned belongings from vacated units</li><li>Support the team during unit inspections, move-ins, and move-outs</li></ul><p><b>Requirements</b></p><ul><li>Minimum 1 year of experience in apartment maintenance, make-ready, portering, or a similar role</li><li>Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)</li><li>Basic knowledge of painting, drywall repair, caulking, and general apartment maintenance</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple units and tasks</li><li>Reliable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines for unit turn schedules</li><li>Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and reliable transportation</li></ul><p><b>Preferred</b></p><ul><li>Experience with multifamily apartment communities</li><li>HVAC, plumbing, or electrical certifications or training</li><li>EPA certification for refrigerant handling</li><li>CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification</li></ul><p><b>To Apply</b></p><p>Send your resume to careers@cbprop.co</p><p>Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour</p><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul><p>Work Location: In person</p>
