 2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; DUTIES
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Design &amp; Engineering:
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Prepare, review, and approve mechanical engineering deliverables including equipment specifications, data sheets, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and vendor document reviews.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and check mechanical drawings (general arrangements, piping layouts, equipment layouts) using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent software.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform mechanical calculations (stress analysis, load ratings, thermal expansion, etc.) as required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure designs comply with international codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI, NFPA, ASTM, etc.) and client specifications.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Installation &amp; Commissioning:
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Oversee and supervise mechanical equipment installation (pumps, compressors, vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, piping systems, rotating equipment, etc.) at site.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including preparation of procedures, checklists, and punch lists.
 </li>
 <li>
 Troubleshoot mechanical issues during installation, startup, and operational phases.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure proper alignment, lifting, rigging, and bolting procedures are followed.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Project Coordination &amp; Site Support:
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Collaborate with civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines to resolve clashes and ensure integrated design.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide technical support to procurement, fabrication, construction, and QA/QC teams.
 </li>
 <li>
 Attend site inspections, HAZOP meetings, design reviews, and progress meetings.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review contractor/subcontractor shop drawings, method statements, and ITPs (Inspection &amp; Test Plans) from a mechanical perspective.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Compliance, Safety &amp; Quality:
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Ensure all mechanical activities comply with project HSE requirements, permit-to-work (PTW) systems, and company safety policies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in risk assessments (JSA, HAZID) and ensure engineering controls are implemented.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain accurate documentation: as-built drawings, equipment logs, test reports, and change orders.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Vendor &amp; Client Coordination:
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Interface with equipment vendors and suppliers to ensure technical compliance and resolve delivery or quality issues.
 </li>
 <li>
 Respond to client technical queries (TQ) and coordinate with client engineering representatives.
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 </li>
 
 
 3. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS &amp; EXPERIENCE
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Education:
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (B.E. / B Tech) or higher in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Experience:
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 
 Minimum 5+ years
 
 of relevant experience in
 
 oil &amp; gas, petrochemical, refinery, power, or heavy industrial projects
 
 .
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven experience in
 
 mechanical equipment installation and commissioning
 
 (rotating and static equipment).
 </li>
 <li>
 Site-based experience is highly preferred.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Technical &amp; Software Skills:
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 
 Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar 2D/3D design software
 
 .
 </li>
 <li>
 Working knowledge of
 
 ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM, and other international codes
 
 .
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with piping systems, pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and material selection.
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of welding symbols, piping isometrics, P&amp;IDs, and equipment layouts.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Soft Skills:
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication (written and verbal) and team coordination abilities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
 </li>

 Good report writing and documentation skills.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):

 UPDA/MMUP certification (for Qatar roles)
 </li>

 PMP / Project Management certification
