 GovCIO is currently hiring for a Netwrok Operations Manager. This position will be located in Islamabad, Pakistan and will be an onsite position.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 Provide network operations. The contractor shall:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Use AFCENT provided standard network devices for routing and switching;
 </li>
 <li>
 Operate, maintain and sustain IP based routers, switches and standard AFCENT approved operating systems on AFCENT network devices;
 </li>
 <li>
 Configure Tier 2 routing and switching devices IAW SPIN-C.;
 </li>
 <li>
 Design and implement solutions, and install and maintain network equipment to support new and emerging requirements;
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide responsive services, real-time network level configuration control, network restoration, quality control and performance standards, status reporting, MSL, and other actions IAW SPIN-C;
 </li>
 <li>
 Support projects deployed by the NOSC;
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure network rights and privileges are commensurate with roles and responsibilities; do not delegate network rights and privileges without the approval of the NOSC or local communications squadron commander;
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain compliance with: SPIN-C, CTOs and NOTAMs, DOD, USAF, CENTCOM, AFCENT, and local instructions;
 </li>
 <li>
 Use Remedy to report and track local and enterprise issues associated with network and systems operations;
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor and sustain network operations;
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist the government in maintaining positive control over hardware and software;
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain hardware accountability using the Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) and Asset Inventory Management System (AIMS);
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure equipment transfer is IAW AFH 22-123 SPSS and Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) policies and directives;
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist government with packing and shipping of equipment;
 </li>
 <li>
 Be responsible for encryption equipment used on the network;
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure control and safeguarding configuration and &lsquo;user-level&rsquo; maintenance of Ethernet and serial encryption devices;
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with COMSEC manager to ensure approved encryption keys are available for encryption equipment used on the network;
 </li>
 <li>
 Install and maintain network wireless equipment to support new and emerging requirements;
 </li>
 <li>
 Use AFCENT provided wireless network devices for routing and switching;
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide responsive services to include real-time network-level configuration control, wireless network restoration, and quality control and performance standards;
 </li>

 Provide a heat map for the area support by AFCENT wireless.

 Update and submit the Network Configuration Data Sheet (Deliverable) and Tier 2 Network Diagrams (Deliverable) for both NIPR and SIPR every month

Who Are We Looking For?
Mobiz is hiring a Network Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure solutions for our clients, with a primary focus on Cisco, Palo Alto, Azure, and network automation technologies. 


Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure solutions based on Cisco, Palo Alto, and Azure technologies, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with clients to understand their networking requirements, develop network designs, and propose solutions that align with their business objectives.</li>
<li>Configure and troubleshoot a wide range of Cisco networking devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers.</li>
<li>Implement and manage Palo Alto firewalls and security appliances, including policy configuration, threat prevention, and intrusion detection and prevention systems.</li>
<li>Leverage Azure networking services to design and implement secure and scalable cloud network architectures for clients.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Configure, manage, and troubleshoot VOIP systems, preferably Cisco Webex Calling and Webex Meetings.</li>
<li>Work closely with collaboration and unified communications teams to optimize call routing, QoS policies, and voice network performance.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Implement network automation techniques using Python, Ansible, or other relevant tools to streamline network operations, configuration management, and monitoring tasks.</li>
<li>Monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, and proactively identify and resolve network issues to ensure high availability and optimal performance.</li>
<li>Conduct network assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement, develop upgrade strategies, and implement network optimizations.</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system administrators and security specialists, to deliver integrated solutions and resolve complex network-related challenges.</li>
<li>Stay updated with the latest Cisco, Palo Alto, Azure technologies, network automation tools, industry trends, and best practices to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge.</li>
<li>Document network configurations, changes, automation scripts, and procedures accurately to maintain up-to-date records and facilitate knowledge sharing.</li></ul> 


 Qualifications and Skills
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.</li>
<li>Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience required.</li>
<li>Proven experience as a Network Engineer with a strong focus on Cisco, Palo Alto, Azure technologies, and network automation.</li>
<li>In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco networking devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers.</li>
<li>Familiarity with other Cisco technologies, such as Meraki, ASA, and Firepower, is a plus.</li>
<li>Familiarity with other vendors' networking technologies (FortiGate, Juniper etc).</li>
<li>Expertise in configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls and security appliances, including policy management and threat prevention through the Panorama management server.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of Azure networking services, such as virtual networks, subnets, VPN gateways, and network security groups.</li>
<li>Familiarity with network automation tools and techniques using Python, Ansible, or similar technologies.</li>
<li>Familiarity or Hands-on experience with VOIP systems, especially Cisco Webex Calling/Webex Suite or similar platforms (e.g., Zoom Phone, Microsoft Teams, CUCM).</li>
<li>Solid understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, routing protocols, VLANs, and VPN technologies.</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex network issues and provide effective solutions.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.</li>
<li>Relevant industry certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSA, PCNSE , Azure certifications (preferred: AZ-700 Network Engineer Associate) Azure certifications, or other Cisco and Palo Alto certifications, are highly desirable.</li></ul>
