The Medical Office Assistant is responsible for receptionist duties for all staff, patients and visitors in the Department of Surgery. This position will provide support services in patient insurance, billing and account maintenance under direct supervision of the Director of Administrative Operations.</p><p><b>
Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>
Operates office Equipment such as voice mail messaging systems, and uses word processing, spreadsheet, and other software applications to prepare reports, invoices, financial statements, letters, case histories, and other medical records.</li><li>
Works independently in monitoring work queues and/or outlook calendars.</li><li>
Provide support on various administrative/organizational matters.</li><li>
Assist in special projects and essential programs, including complex scheduling for meetings/events.</li><li>
Coordinate administrator's schedule; invites and notifies participants.</li><li>
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.</li></ul><p></p>
